Abstract

The fixing system is especially used to affix an airbag to a vehicle steering wheel. The airbag module (1) is located in an inverted cup (4) connected to the steering wheel trim (5). The base is sealed by a fixing plate (6) of the airbag module onto the frame (2) of the steering wheel. An elastic fastening system (7) is provided on the edges of the adjacent faces of the plate and inverted cup. This is arranged to receive the airbag module onto the steering wheel frame between the location surfaces (10) so as to prevent the release of the elastic fastening system.
