Abstract

The pump includes a timing circuit controlling operation of pump to ensure priming of pump and sufficient operating time to ensure full pumping action. The system includes a pump (1) driven by an electric motor (4) controlled by a control circuit (5) with a liquid level sensor. The sensor (6) determines the level of effluent in the container (C) within which the pump and motor are immersed. The control circuit includes a clock which measures the time needed until the pump is fully primed, and controls the time of subsequent pump operation accordingly.
