Abstract

Game board for use by a child to build a model house and its surroundings, e.g. a garden, has a three dimensional shape to give it a natural aspect. The upper surface (2) of the board has at least one recess (3) forming a surround that acts as a boundary for a zone (3') designed to receive the house and forming its outer walls. Preferably other recesses (4-6) in the board are designed to form a fence, a path, a patio, a pool or a stream, and have different depths depending on their function. The bases of the different recesses can be flat, pyramidal, prismatic or curved, and their perimeters can be in a variety of shapes: parallelogram, circle, closed curve, L-shaped, T-shaped or C-shaped. The board is solid and made from a synthetic cellular material such as expanded polystyrene or a moulded thermoplastic material.
