Abstract

The transport bag for a single domestic animal comprises two similar side walls (1) provided with handles (2). The side walls are connected by a wall (3) and a removable base forms a lower part. The connection between this wall and the side walls is obtained by a fastener (4). A system of aeration is made in the fastener.

Description

The present invention relates to the transport and sleeping of domestic animals.

One of the difficulties encountered during the transport of said animals lies in the need to use different objects according to the regulations of the different modes of transport, objects which generally do not allow the animal to sleep at the place of destination.

The object of the present invention is to provide a means of transport and sleeping for domestic animals, and in particular dogs and cats, which is unique and independent of the means of transport used.

Traditionally there are bags, crates or cages for the transport of animals, either with an opening for the head, or completely closed with a ventilation system, there are also seat covers and animal seats during the transport by car, as well as bunks and beds.

The present invention brings together in a single means these different objects, avoiding multiple purchases and allowing space and volume savings, either in storage or during transport by multiple means.

The present invention is a means of transport having two walls, called side walls, similar (1, la), the lower part of which is generally horizontal, provided with carrying means of fixed or variable length which can be handles (2), straps or handles fixed on said walls, or on only one of the walls (2a) (Fig. 12), connected by a wall forming the outline (3), and the base (3a), resting on the peripherals of the say two side walls whose shape it takes (Fig. I and 2). The connection between this wall and the side walls is obtained by means of closure system (4) which can be slide, each being fixed on the device of one of the side walls and on the device of the wall forming the outline, with the exception of the lower part where the connection is generally fixed.

The systems can be operated simultaneously or separately. Said connection can use the two means, stitching and closing system in a coordinated manner to alternate, fixed link and removable link.

A part of the wall forming the portour is pierced with holes (5) which can be bordered with eyelets which can be of any material and in particular metallic, which can also be replaced by any systems which can ensure sufficient ventilation when the bag is completely closed and the animal inside. Another part of the said wall can be folded back on itself by playing on the removable connection systems, the said part which is no longer linked to the side walls, being able to be fixed on the part remaining linked by a fixing means which can be in particular a system of pressures (6, 6a, 6b), of scratch, of targeted or fixed accessories (Fig. 2, 3, 5, 6).

The internal faces of a side wall and of the wall forming the portour, may be provided with a second means of connection with a means serving as a sufficiently loose net to allow the rotation of one of said side walls during opening. of the first connecting means (Fig.ll) thus constituting a sort of tent from the inside of which the animal cannot leave. The invention can be made of different materials and more particularly of fleece fabric (cotton, polyester, skai, plastic, lycra, wool, leather, suede, nubuck ...) lined with a fabric (bombers, satin, cotton, polyester etc ...) such that it is fully washable by appropriate means.

The bag easily turns into a Bed (Fig. 7 and 8), by folding down and fixing the top thanks to the pressures (7 and 7a), or scratch, or zip, or nothing; the location of the quilting of the quilting allowing this flap, and by placing the removable cushion inside (several types of cushions are available with varying thickness and composition: cotton, polyester, leatherette, leather, nubuck, fur, sponge ... Padding: wadding, foam, polyester balls, feathers ...)
So wherever you go the animal keeps its bearings and easily finds its place.

You can also use only the cushion for more discretion.

In the car, the bag is open in the Seat position (Fig. 9 and 10) and is fixed, either by passing one of the handles behind the headrest, or by fixing the handle, thanks to the fixing hook accessories, varying according to the model of the automobile, the size of the bag, as well as the location of the seat belt fasteners, which also allow the bag to be secured. Fixing is also possible on the rear shelf of the vehicle by scratch systems, pressures, targeted and fixed accessories, either by surrounding the seat, with regard to the handles with variable elastic or adjustable lengths.

The other handle may be fixed, either to the seat of the vehicle in its lower part, as well as to the seat belt, or by surrounding the seat with regard to the handles with variable elastic or adjustable lengths.

Inside the bag has been provided a safety system (8), making it possible to attach the animal either directly to its leash or its collar by a carabiner or any other system, or by a leash or chain connecting the animal bag, this in order to avoid movement of the animal in the passenger compartment.

For dangerous animals, non-obedient or for which the compression of human orders remains random or impossible, a net has been provided on special models. This net attaches to the bag closures, or clips or hooks, and forms a sort of tent, imposing a limited surface on the animal which cannot leave it (Fig. 11).

The animal will sit comfortably in his bed, without dirtying or scratching the seats. Thanks to the possibility of easily washing the cushion or the bag, all the disadvantages of throws or other towels and blankets; bad odors, hairs and damaged seats are avoided and eliminated.

For small animals needing to be carried, and to allow access with his animal to air, rail, road transport, .. an additional function is provided.

An opening (9) is therefore made in the contour of the bag, on the lateral part, generally at the height of the withers.

The outline of the bag is therefore interrupted, allowing a variable opening (Fig. 2, 3, 5 and 6).

Closing, for a continuous contour, can be ensured by a system of pressures (6), clips, or scratch or any other closing member.

A ventilation system (5) has been provided to allow the animal to breathe when it is required that the bag is completely closed. It is located on the side of the bag and can be made either using holes made in the contour of the bag, or using an air grille made of different materials suitable for filtering the air. , mosquito net type. However, the ventilation system (5a) can be placed on one of the side walls (Fig. 12), generally in its lower part, especially when the carrying means is fixed on the opposite side wall, and thus allowing it to be worn. in backpack, or ventral. The bag is opened by folding the movable part of the outline (3) on suitable fasteners for this purpose (6, 6a, 6b), and also varying with the sliding of the zippers (4), from 0 to 100 % opening of the contour part of the bag.

The lower lateral part of the contour, equipped with the ventilation system (5) can either be entirely open on both sides thanks to the zippers, but for more solidity, one of the sides, constituting the association of the contour and the lower part of the so-called side wall of the bag can be closed and sewn.

A removable bottom is provided, the size of the bottom of the bag, in the form of a case, making it possible to slide a reinforcing plate (depending on the weight of the animal) to allow the transport of the animal, without deformation of the bag, and ensuring better stability for the animal (Fig. 4). But also to allow the placement of all absorbent systems, of the diaper type, to overcome any small problems related to a journey that is too long for the animal. A litter box, in a permeable bag, can also complement or replace this removable bottom. It can also be produced, a fixed case, doubling the horizontal wall of the outline forming the bottom of the bag.

A shoulder pad fitted with a fastening means allows the handles to be entwined to facilitate carrying on the shoulder and protect the wearer's shoulder.

The bag can be made of quilted fabric, inserting foams of varying thicknesses depending on the size of the product produced.

The top and bottom of the bag (or side walls) can be stitched with squares (whose size varies depending on the size of the bag), but whose height is related to the height of the outline, the location of one of the quilting of the quilting should coincide with the possibility of folding the top of the bag inside, therefore corresponding to the height of the outline. To maintain the top of the folded bag, a pressure system (7, 7a), or clips has been installed, it is however not essential and may be absent.

For the quilting of the outline, the stitches form diamonds whose sizes vary according to the size of the bag, allowing better support.

All other kinds of quilting, and forms of stitching are suitable and can be used, this parameter being linked to cost, industrial possibilities, fashion.

The assembly of the parts can be carried out in several ways, either with visible seams which will be covered with a bias relating to the techniques of confection, or by invisible seams, relating to the techniques of leather goods.

The bag handles (2, 2a) or straps, are made in different ways and with different materials and can be of both fixed and variable length. They can be placed on each of the side walls allowing the port to the shoulder or the hand, but also placed on only one of the walls, allowing the port with back or ventral. A handle or wrist can be placed on the wall forming the outline of the bag, generally for models offering a backpack or belly port (Fig. 12).

Zippers are available with double heads, making handling easier, but can be reduced to single heads. The closing heads can be fitted with a stopper. An additional fixing system may be proposed for the part of the outline presenting the vents so that the animal, even by leaning on this part, cannot obtain the opening.

The interior pocket (s) (10) are positioned on one of the side walls, inside, they can be opened or closed. If the bag is offered in its backpack or ventral version, the pockets will be positioned on the wall forming the outline of the bag, or on one of the walls whose manipulation will not allow its pockets to empty!
It is proposed to be able to add external pockets, on the so-called side walls of the bag.
