Abstract

The shock absorber comprises a first mass (12) rotating with an input shaft (24). A second mass (24) rotates coaxially on the first mass by means of ball bearings (20). These constitute a friction clutch reaction plate (86) which rotates on the output shaft. The two masses are coupled together by an interposed flexible washer. The second mass has a first part (64) able to rotate freely on the first mass and a second part (66) which rotates on this first part. These constitute a friction clutch reaction plate (84). Friction torque limiters (98) are arranged between the first and second parts of the second mass. The external ball bearing track (21) is constituted by the peripheral internal edge of the first part of the second mass.
