Abstract

The illuminated base (A) is intended to produce a light beam which is directed upwards in a diffuse manner into one of several different containers (B) which may be placed on the upper surface. The base consists of a main section (1) containing two batteries (2) and a lamp (3), with access via a removable base panel (9). The upper surface of the base unit may include apertures for the fixing of suction pads, or micro-suction pads (8) which are intended to retain a container (B) placed on top of the unit. Surrounding the lamp there is a reflection chamber (4) which diffuses the light via a translucent lens (5). Two sensing contacts mounted in the base detect the presence of the container on the base in order to activate the lamp.
