Abstract

The support, designed to prevent umbilical hernia and other complications, consists of a flat or ergonomically-shaped plate (2) with a hemospherical projection (1) on one side. It can be made from a supple or rigid material which can allow the skin to breathe by virtue of its shape-slits, channels or holes for aeration, or the material from which it is made, e.g. porous. The support can be made in one or more pieces and from different materials, such as plastic, wood, foam, fabric or silicone. It can be made in various sizes and should be compatible with the size and skin of a baby or young child, e.g. 3.2 cm diameter for the plate and 1.5 cm. for the hemisphere.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif pour maintenir l'ombilic des bébés ou des jeunes enfants dans la paroi abdominale. En effet, on rencontre chez le nourrisson des problèmes ombilicaux : hernies, extériorisation du nombril hors de sa cavité. Cet inconvénient est traditionnellement pallié à l'aide d'une pièce de monnaie. Mais cette pièce glisse si on la fixe par les moyens habituels : filet ombilical, bande. Avec un collant adhésif, elle ne glisse plus mais se soulève avec les efforts et les mouvements du bébé et ne remédie donc que très partiellement au problème. De plus, même en position correcte, la pièce ne maintient pas le nombril en position enfoncée. The present invention relates to a device for holding the navel of babies or young children in the abdominal wall. Ce dispositif permet de remédier à cet inconvénient. Il est caractérisé par une demi-sphère ou partie en relief positionnée sur un plateau. Cette demi-sphère ou partie en relief épouse la cavité où se trouve l'ombilic. Elle permet de maintenir l'ombilic bloqué en position correcte dans cette cavité. Le plateau, quant à lui, assure un bon maintien du ventre autour du nombril. Il permet aussi la fixation d'un dispositif à l'aide de collant adhésif qui reste le plus approprié, d'un filet ombilical ou d'une bande. Ce plateau est une partie plane ou ergonomique de formes et de dimensions variées. Le dispositif permet également la prévention de l'hernie autour de la cicatrice de l'ombilic. This device overcomes this drawback.
