Abstract

The distributor has a base (2) housing the coin handling mechanism and the mechanism to deliver the selected item to an access outlet. The distributed items are stored in a vertical cylindrical reservoir (3) which is fitted to the base. The reservoir can be divided vertically to provide storage for different items. The top of the base unit has an annular support for the cylindrical reservoir. The annular support can be separated from the base. Apparatus according to claim 3, characterized in that the indexing means comprise studs (37) arranged on the plate (24) and under the washer (33) at regular angular intervals, and corresponding notches (38) formed in the washer, so that when the washer and the tank rotate around the rod (18) the notches successively receive the studs after rotation of angular steps equal to the angular intervals between the studs, or vice versa the studs are arranged on the washer and the notches in the plate, marks (35) associated with each stack of objects (1) being furthermore provided on the periphery of the base of the tank (3) and being angularly spaced by intervals equal to the intervals between the studs (37), each mark marking a stack of a determined category of objects and being able to be positioned opposite a fixed mark (36) provided on the base (4) with respect to the rec mechanism eption (27).

Apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the tubular reservoir (3) consists of at least two sections (6, 7 ...) superimposed nestable one on the other, each section delimiting a series of radial compartments (11, 12, 13 ...) intended to receive each of the objects (1) of different categories and the sections are superimposed so that the compartments of the different sections are located in the extension of each other.

Apparatus according to claim 5, characterized in that the edges in contact with each other of the sections (6, 7 ...) superimposed on the tank (3) are provided with pins (14) and mortises (15) combined, arranged so as to allow their nesting by superimposing the respective compartments (11, 12, 13 ...) these tenons and mortises being suitably angularly spaced.

7. Apparatus according to claim 6, characterized in that the reservoir is equipped with a cover (19) closing covering the upper section (9).
