Abstract

The pliers are constructed with three handles and three jaws. The two side branches (1) are the moving arms and are connected to the two mobile jaws (5), which act on one each of the two wires to be joined. The fixed jaw (4) is connected to a fixed handle (2). Both jaws are designed, with bosses, grooves, striations, etc., to position and hold the wires to be twisted. Notches (6) formed in the jaws enable the cutting of the wires, either simultaneously for both ends, or individually, after the completion of the twisting operation. The holes (7) in the ends of the handles allow the ends of the wires, left after the cutting operation to be curved into the joint.
