Abstract
Description
The present invention, known as a vacuum and hot dehydration device for animal or vegetable waste (smoke, droppings, animal or vegetable waste, etc.) is intended to transform said organic waste into dry and pulverulent compounds used as fertilizers or used as food supplements for animals.
It is well known that animal or plant waste constitutes an important energy potential that man has always sought to recover. In addition, this hydrated waste constitutes, as it stands, a significant source of pollution for the environment. Many methods have been invented to destroy this nuisance and transform this waste into dry and recyclable organic compounds. French patent No. 2399395 of August 4, 1977 proposes a process for dehydrating plant waste in order to obtain an organic material used in the form of fertilizer or food supplement for animals. The technique proposed by this patent consists in using a rotary metal tank which is heated in the open air resulting in significant energy consumption.
Other techniques such as lyophilization have been proposed. The latter consists of dehydrating the substances under vacuum at low temperature. Very energy consuming, it does not allow to treat large quantities of substances at the same time.
The object of the present invention is to obviate this drawback by proposing a device of the metal enclosure type provided with a rotary mixer which, placed under vacuum, is heated in order to accelerate the dehydration of the organic waste which it receives. This enclosure is equipped with filters to eliminate pollution to the atmosphere, the origin of which is the emanation of carbon dioxide or ammonia from the waste being dehydrated.
The invention called a vacuum and hot dehydration device for animal or vegetable waste is characterized in that it comprises a metal enclosure (18) receiving the waste by means of a hopper (1), the opening of which is controlled by a guillotine hatch (2); the waste introduced by the hopper falls on a mixer which turns (4) on the central axis (25) of the enclosure in the manner of a worm; said enclosure (18) is maintained under vacuum during dehydration by means of a high flow vacuum pump (16) terminated by a filter (22); this enclosure is mounted on a guillotine hatch (6) driven by a motor (14); said hatch rests on a hopper hopper (7) intended to evacuate dehydrated waste in a mobile receptacle (8). The outer walls of the enclosure are housed in an isothermal formwork (19) heated by means of burners (10) arranged around the enclosure. The motors (14) actuate nut screw systems, according to a program ensuring the filling and emptying of the enclosure which is alternated with its evacuation.
The invention thus characterized has numerous advantages, in particular with regard to the rate of dehydration and the saving of energy compared to existing devices.
The invention will be better understood thanks to the appended drawings which are presented by way of nonlimiting example in a preferred embodiment of the inventor.
Figure 1 shows in section the general arrangement of the device.
Figure 2 shows in section a variant of the device with a frustoconical enclosure.
Referring to Figure 1 the metal enclosure (18) of cylindrical shape contains over its entire height a helical mixer (4) rotating around the axis (25) vertical placed in the center of the enclosure. The rotation of the mixer is obtained by means of a motor (5) supplied by the sector and driving the axis of the mixer by means of belts. A flexible and inflatable seal (3) in particular makes it possible to isolate the interior of the enclosure and to avoid loss of load at the level of the cover (29) protecting the emergence of the rotary axis (25) of the mixer.
The enclosure (18) receives the waste to be dehydrated through a hopper (1). At the base of this hopper (1) a guillotine hatch (2) has been arranged, the opening and closing of which are controlled by means of a motor (14) external to the device. The sliding side of the guillotine hatch (2) is connected to the motor (14) by a screw-nut system whose operation is known to those skilled in the art. The movable part of the hatch slides over an inflatable seal (3) in order to open or close the hopper (1) without affecting the seal.
At the base of the cylindrical enclosure (18) a second guillotine hatch (6) has been arranged, the opening of which allows the dehydrated waste to be removed.
Its opening and closing are controlled by means of a second motor (14) which drives a screw-nut system (13) integral with the movable part of the hatch (6). This hatch is slid under the enclosure (18) under an inflatable seal (17) maintaining the seal in the enclosure (18) when the hatch (6) is closed.
Under the guillotine hatch (6) there is a frustoconical hopper hopper (7) whose largest diameter is equal to that of the cylinder of the enclosure (18). This hopper guides the flow of waste which has become pulverulent towards a mobile conveyor (18) for evacuating it and conditioning it.
On the upper part of the enclosure (18) a pipe joined the interior thereof to a vacuum pump (16). Between the vacuum pump and the enclosure, refrigeration (23) has been adapted in order to cool the gases so as not to affect the operation of the pump (16). The outlet of the latter is equipped with an absorbent filter (22) which eliminates the risks of atmospheric pollution:.
When the hatches (2) and (6) are closed and the pump (16) maintains the vacuum in the enclosure (18) the latter is heated on its outer periphery by means of burners (10) contained in a housing creating a hearth (11). The hot air licks the outer walls of the cylinder (18) and maintains a temperature sufficient to ensure, under the effect of the vacuum of the pump (16), rapid dehydration of the waste contained in the enclosure (18). The hatches (2) and (6) being closed and the seals (3) and (17) inflated ensure a tight seal.
The enclosure (18) is housed in a cabin (19) whose walls are insulated. Between the cabin (19) and the enclosure (18) the circulation of hot air from the burners raises the temperature of the enclosure before being evacuated to a tubular chimney (20).
The assembly, enclosure (18) cabin (19) are contained in a chamber (21) whose insulated walls ensures a low heat loss from the installation.
There is shown in Figure 2 sectional view, the installation equipped with a trOn dewatering chamber. onique.
The isothermal chamber (21) contains the cabin (19) where the air heated by the burners (10) circulates. In the center of this cabin (19) is located the dehydrating enclosure (27) of frustoconical shape whose smallest diameter constitutes the lower part of said enclosure. The central axis (25) of the enclosure (27) drives a helical mixer (4) whose turntables constitute an endless screw whose diameter decreases from top to bottom.
The outer edges of these trays rub against the internal partition of the enclosure (27) in order to ensure a slow flow of the waste downwards.
The mixer (4) is driven by the axis (25) connected to the motor (5) by means of a belt. The axis (25) is capped on its upper part by a cover (29) which rests on the inflatable seal (3).
On the upper part of the enclosure (27) there is the hopper (1) used to introduce the dehydration waste. This hopper is closed by a guillotine hatch (3), the opening and closing of which are controlled by the movement of a screw-nut system (12) driven by the motor (14) external to the isothermal chamber (21).
Under the guillotine hatch (3) and the hood (29), the inflatable seal (3) is fitted to the upper crown of the enclosure (27).
The interior volume of the enclosure (27) is connected to a vacuum pump (16) by a pipe carrying between the enclosure (27) and the pump (16) a temperature refrigerator (23) intended to cool the gases emitted dehydration. The vacuum pump (16) is equipped with an absorbent filter (22) necessary to avoid atmospheric pollution.
The base of the conical enclosure (27) rests on an inflatable gasket (17) which separates said enclosure from the guillotine hatch (6) intended to evacuate the dehydrated waste towards the emptying hopper (7). The guillotine hatch (6) is controlled by the screw-nut system (13) driven by the motor (14) outside the isothermal chamber (21).
The dehydrated waste falling into the hopper (7) flows through the opening (29) located at the base of said hopper to be stored in a conveyor (8) before packaging.
The outer wall of the enclosure (27) is heated by means of burners (10) which generate a current of hot air on its walls, heats the enclosure when it is kept under vacuum with its waste to ensure their dehydration .
The hot air from combustion is evacuated through the chimney (20) erected on the chamber separating the enclosure (27) and the cabin (19) constituting the double envelope of the enclosure.
