Abstract

The plug/socket assembly includes a socket (F) which has a base (10) with a rectangular shape and a front surface presenting a circular recess (14). Connection contacts (18) are provided on the bottom of the recess. A vertical groove (22), centred on the symmetry axis of the two contacts, is provided in the base. When the socket is buried in the wall the wall surface is level with the groove. A cooperating plug (M) includes a cylindrical body (24) with two parallel prongs. The plug body engages the circular recess in the socket while the prongs cooperate with the socket contacts. The connection cable is housed inside the vertical groove of the socket.
