Abstract

The frame can have a belt (1) mounted on rollers and actuated by walking on it. The belt can drive a screw (2) to drive the frame on the water. The screw can be driven by an intermediate shaft (4), which may be flexible to allow steering. Alternatively, a lever (9) connected to the screw (2) by a system of pulleys (7) and cords (8) allow steering. The lever can be biased to a neutral position by springs (10). The rolling belt system can be attached to the floats of a pedalo.
