Abstract

The material is made from a layer (1) of felted 100% Kevlar (RTM) with a weight of 320 g./m<2> and a layer (2) of nitrile-coated 100% cotton mesh of 210 g./m<2>, stuck together by applying a polyethylene powder (3) which melts at about 100 deg C to one of the surfaces to be joined and passing the layers between two rollers. Gloves made from the material have a resistance to abrasion of Level 3; a resistance to cutting of Level 4; a resistance to tearing of Level 3; and a resistance to piercing of Level 2.
