Abstract

The binding consists of a wooden spine component (4), cooperating with wooden sheets (5) forming the front and back covers. The components are connected by wooden hinges (6) formed by short lengths of wood located on the adjacent edges of each component in alternation, defining an interlocking arrangement between the components. Each hinge portion is formed by a pair of wooden strips (1) with grooves (2) formed in their inner faces. The strips are glued face to face in pairs so that their grooves define a central passage. A shaft may be passed through the passage to connect the alternate hinge members and define the articulated connection.

Claims
