Abstract

The system for absorbing the noise generated by vehicles on rail and motorways consists of applying onto a rigid support cover (4) a cushion of noise absorbent material (3) such as glass wool or rock wool. Spaced inclined strips (1) are placed horizontally to guide the noise towards the absorbent material. The strips also prevent the penetration of rainwater. The noise absorbent material is protected against animal intrusion by a fine non-corroding grill (2) behind the horizontal strips. The removable cover is fixed to the frame (5) by fitting in its upper part (6) and by nuts in its lower part (7). The monobloc element is fixed to the ground by screwing nuts onto threaded rods (8) sealed in a concrete (9).
