 What is interesting in this embodiment is that both the voice link and the video link are made by the existing telephone networks respectively of video distribution, cable or collective antenna. Thus, the installation of this access control device is greatly simplified since no cable is required from the doorman to each resident.

 The management center may also include a control output 14 supplying a printer making it possible to record all the operations carried out on the doorman.

 In the illustrated embodiment, the central management unit 6 comprises a motherboard 6a and additional specific plug-in boards for controlling a second access 15, the alarm circuit 16, etc.

 In its most complete version, the central management unit also includes a plug-in teletext card 17.
