Abstract

The cap (1) consists of a self-locking collar in the form of a split ring (2), designed to be fixed to the neck of the gas cylinder. Both ends of the ring, on either side of its slit (7), are connected by a bolt (10). The bolt passes freely through a hole on one side of the slit end screws into a threaded hole on the other. The head of the bolt projects from the ring by an amount which prevents the ring from becoming detached in the event of deformation. The inside of the ring has a threaded surface (8) which allows it to be screwed onto the neck of the gas cylinder, and its outer surface is shaped to receive the head of the bolt.
