Abstract

The box is made from a single flat sheet of a pliable material such as card or plastics, cut out and scored to make a flat polygonal base (A.1) with hinged flaps (B.1, C.1) and reinforcing members (B.2,B.3, C.2,C.3) and side uprights (A.2,A.3). Other flaps (D.1,E.1) which form the lid of the box have slots (H.1,H.2) and reinforcing strips (D.2,D.3).The box also incorporates folding sections (F.1,F.2) which are extended by handles (F.11,F.21) which are joined together by insertion through a slot (G.2) in a detachable closing strip which is cup out during the manufacture of the box.

Description

Folding box for packaging
The invention relates to a folding bowl for packaging, in particular for pastries, pizzas, quiches, designed from a single blank cut from a sheet of cardboard or plastic, or from any other material whose characteristics allow it to be produced, and groove to facilitate folding and gluing.

 Currently, there are two kinds of folding boxes for pastry packaging. The first are composed of a bottom, extended by four lateral uprights, glued and pre-folded and an adjoining cover, the closing of which is done by folding the cover. The seconds are made up of a bottom, on which four lateral uprights, not glued, are articulated, themselves extended by two tabs provided with a central slot, and by two uprights each terminated by a handle.

The disadvantages for these two embodiments are as follows:
- For the box without handles, its design does not allow easy gripping, forcing the wearer to handle it without real security.

 - For the box with handles, if its carrying is facilitated by the handles, the design of the box obliges to use more raw material, making the product more expensive, and does not adapt to industrial mechanical folding, causing a problem of storage.

 One of the aims of the invention is to design a folding box for packaging, according to various innovations in order to achieve the ideal synthesis of a design, combining traditional boxes with glued corners and a system of handles, the whole being able to be bends mechanically.

The folding box for packaging is in the form of a single flat blank cut from a sheet of foldable material, such as cardboard or plastic and a groove to facilitate folding and gluing, comprising a polygonal bottom (4.1) on which are articulated components (B.1, C.1, D.1,
E.1) ::
- The polygonal bottom (n.1) has on its sides lateral uprights (4.2, A.3) having foldable angles (4.21, 4.22, 4.31, .32) thanks to the fold lines (A.210, A.211 , A.310, 4.311), these lateral uprights are extended by folding parts (F.1, F.2), themselves terminated by handles (F.11, F.21).

 - The flap (B.1) has on its sides stiffening strips (B.2, B.3) delimited by fold lines (B.11, B.12).

 - The flap (C.1) has on its sides stiffening strips (C.2, C.3) delimited by fold lines (C.11, C.12).

 - The flap (D.1), or above, has on its sides lateral cover strips (D.212, D.312), stiffening strips (D.2, D.3) delimited by fold lines (D.11, D.12), slots (H.1, H.2), a closure strip (8.1).

 - The flap (E.1) has on its sides stiffening strips (E.2, E.3) delimited by fold lines (E.11, E.12).

According to another characteristic of the invention, the flaps (B.1) or (D.1) or (E.1) have a detachable closure strip (G.1), this closure strip (G.1) allowing thanks to its central slot (G.2) to secure the handles (F.11, F.21), is designed pre-cut during the manufacture of the box and remains maintained positioned in its housing, thanks to attachment points ( G.3). The operation is carried out by detaching the strip (G.1), by positioning the handles (F.11, F.21) above the mounted box, then by inserting them into the middle slit (6.2) of the band (G.1). The handles (F.11, F.21) are locked in the slot (G.2) thanks to their lateral recesses (F.110,
F.111, F.210, F.211).

 According to another characteristic of the invention, the handles (F.11, F.21) are cut outwards in a semi-oval shape, for easier sliding in the slot (8.2), and inside (F.12, F. 22), so as to define a space that is completely safe when wearing, and that they have lateral recesses (F.110, F.111, F.210, F.211), allowing them to be locked in the slot (8.2).

 According to another characteristic of the invention, the flap (D.1), or above, has two slots (H.1, H.2), located, when the handles are put in place (F.11, F. 21), on the top of the box, at the ends of the fold lines (F.13, F.14), and designed wider than the detachable closure strip (G.1) in which, the ends of the latter, come to insert.

According to another characteristic of the invention, the handles (F.11, F.21) have tabs (F.120, F.121,
F.220, F.221) located, on the one hand, on the sides of the folding parts (F.1, F.2, F.10, F.20, F.101, F.102), on the other hand , at the base of the handles (F.11, F.21) as an extension of the fold line (F.13, F.14). These tabs are inserted into the slots (H.1, H.2) when the handles (F.11, F.21) are placed on the top of the box.

 According to another characteristic of the invention, the flap (D.1), or above, has on its dimensions, adjoining the fold lines (D.11, D.12), slots (1.1, 1.2) designed wider as the folding parts (F.1, F.2) as well as the handles (F.11, F.21), into which these are inserted.

 The following description, made with reference to the appended drawings given by way of nonlimiting example, will allow a better understanding of the invention.

According to the invention, in view of FIG. 1, the cut and grooved blank comprises a bottom (A.1) on which flaps (B.1, C.1) are articulated D.1, .E.1 ), the polygonal bottom (A.1) has on its sides lateral uprights (4.2, 4.3) having foldable angles (4.21, A.22, 4.31, .32) thanks to the fold lines (4.210, A.211, 4.310, 4.311), these lateral uprights are extended by folding parts (F.1, F.2), themselves terminated by handles (F.11, F.21), the flap (B.1) has on its sides with stiffening strips (B.2,
B.3) delimited by fold lines (B.11, B.12), the flap (C.1) has stiffening strips (C.2,
C.3) delimited by fold lines (C.11, C.12), the flap (D.1), or above, has on its sides lateral cover strips (D.212, D.312), stiffening strips (D.2,
D.3) delimited by fold lines (D.11, D.12), slots (H.1, H.2), a detachable closure strip (G.1), the flap (E.1) has on its sides stiffening strips (E.2, E.3) delimited by fold lines (E.11, E.12).

The assembly of the box is carried out according to the following process
the flaps (B.1, C.1) fold over the bottom (4.1), taking care to fold the stiffening strips (B.2, B.3, C.2, C.3) over these flaps thanks to the fold lines (B.11, B.12, C.11, C.12), the lateral uprights (A.2, A.3) are folded in turn, allowing the gluing of their angles (4.21, 4.22, 4.31, .32) on the stiffening strips (B.2, C.2,
B.3, C.3).

Then the flap (E.1) is folded over the flap (D.1) taking care to fold over the flap (E.1) the stiffening strips (E.2, E.3) thanks to the fold lines ( E.11, E.12), the stiffening strips (D.2, D.3) are folded back, allowing the gluing of their interior angles on the stiffening strips (E.2, E.3) . The flap (D.1) is brought back to the bottom (A.1) using the fold line (D.10), giving the packaging its initial shape of box with glued corners. The final fixing operation s 'operates thanks to the semi-oval design of the handles (F.11, F.21) these coming, after the positioning of the folding parts (F.1, F.2) on the top of the box, s' insert into the closing strip (G.1), previously detached from the flap (D.1) and blocking thanks to their recesses (F.110, F.111, F.210, F.211) made wider than the slot (G.2), up to the fold lines (F.13, F.14) of the handles (F.1, F.2).  Figure 2 shows the box in its folded form, revealing the positioning of the flap (4.3), the folding parts (F.1, F.2), the handles (F.11, F.21) and the strip of closing (G.1).

 Figure 3 shows the establishment of the closure strip (G.1) blocking the handles (F.1, F.2) through their insertion in the middle slot (G.2).

 Figure 4 shows the box in its construction phase. The flaps (B.1, C.1) were folded down on the bottom (4.1) and became integral thanks to the bonding of the stiffening strips (B.2, B.3, C.2, C.3) respectively on the angles (4.21, A.31, 4.22, A.32) of the lateral uprights (A.2, 4.3). The flap (E.1) folded over the flap (D.1) has become integral thanks to the bonding, between them, of the stiffening strips (E.2, D.2) and (E.3, D.3). The closing strip (G.1) is still in its housing and the folding parts (F.1, F.2) are ready to be folded in between on the top of the box.

FIG. 5 proposes another packaging embodiment which differs from that proposed in FIG. 1 by
- the positioning of the folding parts (F.101, F.102) on the angular sides of the lateral uprights ira.2, A.3) in alignment with the fold line (C.10), in this case ( 4.22, 4.32). This is only done if the space left by the fold lines (4.210, A.211, 4.310, A.311) does not allow installation on the side uprights (A.2, A.3) folding parts such as (F.1, F.2).

Claims (5)

1 - Folding container for packaging, especially for pastries, pizzas, quiches, designed from a single flat blank cut from a sheet of foldable material, such as cardboard or plastic and grooved to facilitate folding and gluing, comprising a polygonal bottom (4.1) on which flaps (B.ll C.1) are articulated having stiffening strips (B.2, B.3, C.2, C.3) and lateral uprights ( 4.2, 4.3), adjacent to the flap (C.1) the flaps (D.1, E.1) have, for the first one a detachable closing strip (6.1), slots (H.1, H.2) and stiffening strips (D.2, D.3), for the second of the stiffening strips (E.2, E.3), characterized in that it has folding parts (F.1, F.2) extended by handles (F.11, F.21) which, once positioned on the top of the box, are secured by their insertion into the slot (G.2) of the detachable closure strip (G.1), thanks to the lateral recesses (F.110, F.111, F.210, F.211). This detachable closure strip (G.1) is designed pre-cut during the manufacture of the folding box, and remains maintained positioned in its housing thanks to attachment points. 2 - Folding box for packaging, according to claim 1, characterized in that the flap (D.1) has two slots (H.1, H.2) located, when the handles are put in place (F.11, F.21) on the top of the box, at the ends of the fold lines IF.13, F.14), and designed wider than the detachable closure strip (G.1), into which the ends of the latter are inserted. 3 - Folding box for packaging, according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the handles have tabs (F.120, F.121, F.220, F.221) located at the base of the handles (F .11, F.21) on the top of the sides of the folding parts (F.1, F.2, F.10, F.20, F.101, F.102), as an extension of the fold line (F.13, F.14).
