Abstract

The doser includes a dosing tank (4) filled by gravity feed from a liquid reservoir (1) a refilling pipe with an anti-return valve (3). Also provided is a sliding pipe (5) with an air cock (6), a compressed air admission tube (13), and a liquid ejection pipe (9) with a further non-return valve (10). The liquid flows into the dosing tank while the air cock is open but stops when it reaches the bottom of the sliding pipe causing the pipe to shut. To empty the dosing tank a valve (12) is opened allowing the entry of compressed air. This closes the anti-return valve (3) controlling the dosing liquid and also keeps the drain valve closed. The dosing liquid is then forced out through the ejection pipe which is finally closed by a valve (14) to prevent the ejection of air.
