Abstract

The book has a number of pages, grouped in pairs and folded accordion-fashion so that any two or more pages can be displayed at the same time. Any pages to the right or left of those being displayed can be folded behind the others. The outer surfaces of the two end pages (l, x) can be used as covers for the book.

Description

 The present invention relates to a technical device for juxtaposing pages of a book or manual or leaflet wherever these pages are located. This for easier use, easier understanding, to reduce the size of these manuals or leaflets.

 On existing books or manuals (techniques ...), of the classic type, we are too often forced to go back to understand; therefore technical problem of use (non-rational manipulations), technical problem of understanding.

 On the other hand, some small manuals (technical ...) with frequent use, often present a format which does not allow an easy storage (Example: in pocket, work overalls, jacket ...) therefore technical problem of congestion by the format.

 With regard to existing leaflet manuals, we are generally obliged to unfold them entirely; therefore technical problem of space and handling. In addition, the leaflets are not structurally designed to facilitate use and handling.

 The device according to the invention overcomes these drawbacks. It is initially presented in the form of an accordion of x pages (with a minimum of six pages) making it possible to juxtapose pages, in groups of two pages, (the pages to be juxtaposed having an interest between them); juxtaposition of groups of two pages whatever their number and their location on the accordion of x pages. It being understood that there can be several groups of two pages, different, having no interest between them, to be juxtaposed not simultaneously on the same accordion of x pages. The juxtapositions of groups of two pages having a manual (user guide); either incorporated into the book, manual, leaflet, or independent.

 By this stated technique we can use the back of the accordion pages starting from x to 1.

 According to the particular embodiments - The two pages making up a group of two pages are joined (welded) and meet face to face during a total folding of the accordion.

Pages 1 and 2 forming a group of two pages; in this specific, particular case, the back of pages 1 and x form a group of one page, each. (for the use of the back of the x-page accordion).

- On this basis of explanation of the manual or leaflet we can make a book or manual composed partially or totally of accordion leaflets of x pages.

- The pages not used for the juxtaposition of the groups of two pages, consecutive or not, are folded in accordion in very precise places under the groups of juxtaposed pages:
The unused pages, if there are any, to the left of the group of juxtaposed pages, folded in accordion under the first page of the group of juxtaposed pages.

 Likewise, unused pages, if there are any, to the right of the group of juxtaposed pages, folded in accordion under the last page of the group of juxtaposed pages.

 The pages not used between the groups of two pages to be juxtaposed are folded in accordion (under the last page of the group on the left) or under the first of the next group to be juxtaposed.

 This very precise technique, for its construction - use, is left to the entire initiative of the manufacturer - author and is controlled by a manual. (either incorporated in the book, leaflet manual, or independent).

Figure 1 shows the basis of the invention; or an accordion of x pages (unfolded) (x being greater than or equal to six pages).

FIG. 2 represents an example of association of accordions of x pages (unfolded) forming a book.

With reference to these drawings:
The two pages making up a group of two pages are joined and meet face to face during a total folding of the accordion (Fig. 1); Example: Pages 1 and 2 form a group of two pages.

 Operation.

Example A: Use pages 1-2-5 and 6 (Fig. 1) (Juxtaposition by folding two groups of two pages 1,2 and 5,6).

Juxtaposition by folding of several groups of two pages (ex: ACD) (the pages to be juxtaposed having an interest between them) with a minimum of a group of two pages (ex: B).

 Juxtaposition whatever their location on the x-page accordion; the groups of two pages being successive or not (welded or not), the even number of pages by groups juxtaposed, being able to be different on the same accordion. It being understood that there can be several groups of two different pages (having no interest between them) to be juxtaposed not simultaneously on the accordion of x pages (see example use).

 The unused pages remaining to the left and to the right of the group of juxtaposed pages are respectively folded in accordion under the first and last page of the group of juxtaposed pages.

 Of course if there are only unused pages left of the group of juxtaposed pages, we therefore fold the unused pages, in accordion, under the first page of the group of juxtaposed pages (Example D.a)). Similarly, if only unused pages remain to the right of the group of juxtaposed pages, we accordion the unused pages under the last page of the group of juxtaposed pages (Example Ab) - Cc)).

 The unused pages between the groups of two pages to be juxtaposed are folded in accordion (under the last page of the group on the left) or under the first of the next group to be juxtaposed (Example Aa) - Cb)).

 The back of pages 1 to x (Fig. 1) can be used in the same way as previously explained use in this case of x to 1. This is the only specific, specific case, where the back of pages x and 1 each forms a page group of one page.

 On this basis of explanation of the leaflet, we can make a book or manual partially or totally composed of accordion leaflets of x pages (Fig. 2).

 In the same way use of the back of the accordion (Fig. 1) by bringing from x to 1. In this precise case the back of pages 1 and x can serve respectively front and back of cover of the manual.

 With this technical device, according to the description, we can reduce the format of a manual with a technical vocation ... The format of the manual with this technical device being the previous format divided by two; a group of two pages representing the old format to be reduced.

 It is obvious that this type of manual will have an industrial application in the first place at the printing level and it is applicable in all existing fields of industry: mechanics, agriculture, medicine, science ... tourism ... education. .. construction ...; possibility of applying this device in all existing trades: (leaflets, manuals, books; techniques .. demonstrative, explanatory, translators ...).

Claims (4)

 1) Manual, leaflet, modular by folding, on the basis of an accordion of x pages (Fig. 1): with a minimum of six pages; characterized by the juxtaposition of groups of two non-consecutive pages whatever their number and their locations on the accordion of x pages. (Pages to be juxtaposed having an interest between them). It being understood that there may be several groups of two pages, different, having no interest between them, to be juxtaposed not simultaneously on the same accordion of x pages.  The juxtaposition of groups of two pages being defined beforehand by a manual (either incorporated in the book, manual, leaflet, or independent).  The definition of a group of two pages being: the two pages making up a group of two pages are joined (welded) and meet face to face during a total folding of the accordion of x pages.  2) Leaflet according to claim 1 characterized in that the pages not used for the juxtaposition of groups of two pages, consecutive or not, are folded in accordion at very specific locations under the groups of juxtaposed pages:  The unused pages, if there are any, to the left of the group of juxtaposed pages, are folded in accordion under the first page of the group of juxtaposed pages.  Similarly, the unused pages, if there are any, to the right of the group of juxtaposed pages, are folded in accordion under the last page of the group of juxtaposed pages.  The pages not used between the groups of two pages to be juxtaposed are folded in accordion (under the last page of the group on the left) or under the first page of the next group to be juxtaposed.  3) Leaflet according to claims 1 and 2 characterized by the use of the back of the pages from 1 to x (Fig. 1) used from x to 1. In this specific, particular case, the back of the pages x and 1 form a page group of one page each.  4) Book or manual characterized in that it consists partially or completely of a folding accordion manual according to one of claims 1 to 3.
