Abstract

The device (10) instantaneously adjusts the stream speed in a direction (D1) of carrier points (4) of a conveyor (3) running in front of a loading post (6). The endless conveyor carrier, under the effect of a drive (5), runs on different rotating diverter parts (7) sequentially located at the loading post. The articles (2) are led along a direction (D2) to be loaded on the conveyor, and at the diverter the carrier is locally displaced along a direction (D1) secant to the article direction.The diverter mates with the conveyor carrier and is carried by a displacement assembly (11) controlled relative to the loading post on a trajectory (T) secant to the direction of the article feed to the post. The displacement assembly comprises a diverter guide (12), parallel to the displacement trajectory, and a diverter displacement drive (13). This drives the diverter selectively in two opposite directions (S3,S4) at a determined linear speed in each of the two directions.
