Abstract

The appts includes a cardiac rhythm sensor (1) which is attached to a finger or to the extremity of the patient's ear. The sensor generates low voltage signals which control sequential pulses of medium voltage applied to a number of electrodes (2). The pulses are generated by a converter (4) and formed by a sequencer (3). The appts is supplied by a 12 V battery with a charger (13) or via an ac/dc adaptor. An inverter (11) enables selection of the power supply type. A switch (10) controls the power supply of the appts while an LED (9) indicates when the appts is on or off. A potentiometer is provided for varying the amplitude of the medium voltage pulses.

Description

The present invention relates to an electronic acupuncture and massage device with sequential scrolling of pulses, at asynchronous or synchronous heart rate, activating the electrodes.

The principle of the device is based on the application of electrotherapy, the benefits of which are known, that it: - Relieves rheumatic or accidental pain; - stimulates blood circulation - performs a muscle massage.

There are different devices with two electrodes activated simultaneously, and not according to a scrolling with adjustable repetition of stimuli or in symbiosis of the heart rate, with visualization of the efficiency of the electrodes on the patient's body.

Block diagram of the assembly relating to the present invention, according to FIGURE 1.

The heart rate sensor (1) by contact with a fingertip or an earlobe on an infrared detector generates pulses at low voltage at the frequency of the heartbeat.

These low voltage pulses require the sequential scrolling of medium voltage stimuli activating the "hot" electrodes (2). The stimuli are shaped by the sequencer (3).

- Power sources are conventional
either by 12 volt battery (12) associated with a charger (13) or by calculator-type AC / DC power supply (14) providing a stabilized DC voltage
12 Volts, 1 Ampere.

- L'inverseur (11) permet de choisir le type d'alimentation: (12) en version portable, (14) en version fixe.- The inverter (11) allows you to choose the type of power supply: (12) in portable version, (14) in fixed version.

The switch (10) allows the device to be switched on and off. The light-emitting diode (9) lights up in the presence of 12 volts from the power supply. The 12 Volt DC voltage is converted into AC medium voltage by the AC converter (4). This converter generates the medium voltage pulses, shaped by the sequencer (3), which will activate the "hot" electrodes (2) six in number or more.

- La présence d'impulsions en sortie du convertisseur (4) est signalée par le témoin néon (8).- The presence of pulses at the output of the converter (4) is signaled by the neon indicator (8).

The amplitude of these pulses is adjustable by the dimmer potentiometer (6) from O Volts to 220 Volts at very low intensity: a few micro-Amps depending on the resistance of the body, through the neon lights associated with resistances equal to or greater than a megohm, used to visualize the real action of the "hot" electrodes (2).

- The selector (7) allows you to choose the polarity of the stimulation pulses of the negative, positive and alternating electrodes.

Other possibilities for adapting electrodes

The electrodes (1) are the "hot" electrodes connected by female connectors to flexible insulated conductive wires coming from the sequencer. The "cold" electrodes (3) are also connected to the "cold" points of the sequencer.

P1. 2/3 FIG. 3 flexible braid electrodes similarly included inside a dressing gown. The lower limbs can be, as well as the two "cold" electrodes under the feet, stimulated by conventional electrodes with suction cups or with sticky or elastic support (3).
