Abstract

The cooker (1) is fitted in a hole (5) in the centre of the table (2). The edge of the hole has a lip (6) to support a frame (7). The frame supports the hot plate (9). The frame has a peripheral trough (8) to catch cooking liquids that come from the hot plate. The underside of the table supports a suspended structure (10) with a flat base. The structure provides a shelf that supports a gas bottle (11). A burner (11) is fitted to the gas bottle. The burner is placed immediately below the hot plate. Alternatively, the heating may be provided by an electric heating element. A wire grid supported on legs fitting into holes in the frame (7) is positioned above the hot plate, and keeps warm previously cooked food. The grid may be fitted with a handle to allow food to be carried to another location.

Description

Apparatus for cooking food arranged on a table
The present invention relates to a device specially designed for cooking food, this device taking place conveniently on the table top.

The device according to the invention is distinguished not only by its use but also by its arrangement on the table top as well as by the structure whose use is necessary to support the device's heating device.

The device according to the invention makes it possible to overcome the drawbacks and inconveniences that present on the operational level not only cooking the food but also keeping it hot during the meal.

In general, when cooking certain foods such as chops, sausages, etc., it is usual for these foods to be eaten in part, if not cold, at a low temperature at which the food is not pleasant enough that we stop eating it.

The person who cooks the food cannot sit at the table like the rest of the guests, because he must be constantly in the kitchen and serve the food at the table.

With the device according to the invention, all these drawbacks are avoided because, for example, the person who cooks can sit with the other guests at the table since it is on the table itself that the food is cooked .

The device has the great advantage of being very simple in its structure and in its operation.

According to the invention, the apparatus comprises a heating element arranged on a frame coupled to the peripheral contour of an opening made in the table top.

The energy used to heat the device can be supplied by electricity, gas or even embers, that is to say a solid fuel.

The device comprises below the tray a support structure for a gas tank with its diffuser screen for heating the device.

The device is arranged as shown in the center of the table top.

The frame has a perimeter pipe on which rests a concentric heating plate and of smaller dimensions so that the fatty liquids which detach during the cooking of food fall into the receiving channel.

When a container containing embers is used instead of a plate, this container has on its lateral surface projections by means of which it is fixed on the aforementioned frame.

The container has at its mouth a superimposed grill to place the food to be roasted.

Finally, the heating plate can be heated by electrical energy by connection to the mains.

Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge from the description given below by way of illustration and without limitation of an exemplary embodiment, and from the appended drawings in which - FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the device according to the invention; and - Figure 2 is a sectional view of the apparatus.

The drawings illustrate the apparatus 1 according to the invention.

The device 1 is mounted on a table 2, which includes a tray 3 and support legs 4.

On the plate 3 is made in the central part an opening 5, with a perimeter recess 6 which promotes the coupling of a frame 7 of the same shape provided with a channel 8 in which mates a heating plate 9 provided with an electrical resistance.

Channel 8 collects the fatty liquids which drip from the plate 9.

The plate 3 is provided at its lower part with a support structure 10 for a gas tank 11 having an incorporated burner 12 facing the center of the heating plate 9 to supply the heat necessary for the latter.

In FIG. 1 is shown a receptacle 13 containing embers, positioned, by means of lateral projections 14, on the frame 7.

On this container is placed a grill 15 with its handle 16.

The arrangements described above and represented in the drawings are liable to modifications of detail insofar as the principle of the invention is not altered.

Claims 1. Apparatus (1) for cooking food, arranged on a table (2) of the type comprising a tray (3) and support feet (4), characterized in that in the tray is made a central opening (5) provided with a perimeter recess (6) which cooperates with the reception of a frame (7) provided with a channel (8) for receiving fatty liquids which drips from a hot plate (9) itself resting on the channel and on which we have the food to cook. 2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that from the underside of the plate emerges a support structure (10) for a gas tank (11) provided with a burner (12) facing the central part of the plate heating. 3. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that on the frame rests a series of projections (14) presented by a heating receptacle (13) containing embers, on which is disposed a grill (15) provided with a handle ( 16). 4. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the heating plate is connected to the sector for its heating by means of an electrical resistance.
