Abstract

Device for allowing road users to give visually by codification the reason for stopping a vehicle in distress so that, through public spiritedness, other users can alert the emergency services. It consists of a body (3) on which the upper cover (1) and the lower cover (2) are fixed. Magnets (4) and (5) are secured to the covers (1) and (2) in order to connect the beacon to the vehicle. Inside the body (3) there is a reversible and fluorescent semirigid diaphragm (6). In order to use one or other face of the diaphragm (6), the user should pull on the ring (7) and fix the beacon onto the vehicle by magnetisation. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for motorists in distress.

Description

 The present invention relates to a device for enabling road users to visually give, by coding, the reason for stopping a vehicle in distress.

 I1 is currently impossible to determine using flashing hazard lights or the classic warning triangle, if it is a breakdown, an accident, or worse still if there are injured . The time for these reflections. no assistance is provided if necessary. As a result, there is a lack of solidarity among road users.

 The device according to the invention overcomes these drawbacks. It can provide joint assistance to road users (rescue or between rescue), less concern for victims waiting for help, additional security for vehicles whose hazard lights no longer work, better location of vehicles in distress.

 It can also ensure better speed of emergency response services.

 The device according to the invention comprises, according to a first characteristic, a box, inside of which is located the unfoldable and reversible tag.

 Depending on the case, the user can activate either the red beacon, "distress signal, ask for help", or the orange and white beacon, breakdown, puncture ".

 To display one or the other of the beacons, simply unscrew either the lower or upper cap and unfold the desired beacon. The remaining cap being magnetized, the assembly can be easily attached to the roof of the vehicle.

 A driver in solidarity with this principle has understood the message, he will stop realizing the emergency and he will notify the competent services.

 The distressed motorist must then imperatively, while waiting for help, change the signal, in order to prevent other vehicles from stopping unnecessarily.

 Figure 1 shows the device in the initial state, ie the folded reversible beacon. Fig. 2 shows the device folded in the first case, orange and white tag out.

 Figure 3 shows the device unfolded in the second case.

 With reference to these drawings, the device comprises an upper cover (i j, fixed to a body (3) and a lower cover (2).

 On the covers (i) and (2) are fixed magnets (4) and (5) to allow the connection between the tag and the vehicle.

 Inside the body (3) is a membrane (fluorescent and semi-rigid, linked to the body (3), a membrane which can be used on both sides. Its positioning being ensured by the lifting ring (7 ).

- CLAIMS  1) Device for enabling road users to give visually by coding, the reason for stopping a vehicle in distress, characterized in that it comprises a body (3) inside which is a membrane reversible (6). linked to the body (3) and protected when the tag is not used, by an upper cap (1) and a lower cap (2) on which magnets (5) and (4) are fixed respectively to ensure the connection with the vehicle.  2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the lifting ring is directly linked to the reversible fluorescent membrane (6).
