Abstract

Le composite céramique cuit comprend: (a) un tissu de base en fibres d'aluminoborosilicate, (b) une couche carbonée appliquée en revêtement sur ce tissu de base, (c) une couche de carbure de silicium appliquée en revêtement par-dessus cette couche carbonée et (d), appliqué en revêtement par-dessus cette couche de carbure de silicium, un mélange comprenant du carbure de silicium et du phosphate d'aluminium, dans un rapport molaire du carbure de silicium au phosphate d'aluminium qui est compris entre environ 1:1 et 50:1, et des particules d'aluminoborosilicate dans une proportion en poids d'environ 0,5 à 70 % en poids du mélange total. La composition de revêtement non cuit, utilisable pour réduire la perméabilité aux gaz d'un composite céramique à base d'aluminoborosilicate revêtu de carbure de silicium, comprend: (a) une dispersion d'aluminium métallique dissous dans de l'acide phosphorique, (b) du carbure de silicium et du phosphate d'aluminium dans une proportion suffisante pour créer un rapport molaire, à l'état cuit, du carbure de silicium au phosphate d'aluminium qui est compris entre environ 1:1 et 50:1 et (c) des particules d'aluminoborosilicate dispersées dans ce revêtement dans une proportion en poids comprise entre environ 0,5 et 70 % en poids du mélange total.
