Abstract

It consists of a plate (1) supporting, on the one hand, a die comprising 4 studs (4) which can be adjusted, as a function of the series of hangers (brackets), and a movable part (5); the user inserts the hanger (20) into it which he tightens by using the lever (7) which actuates the eccentric (6). On the other hand, of a lever (8) to bend the hanger (20) at the desired place, since it is articulated to a movable plate (9) which moves between two slideways (12), which gives a reading of the movement of the plate (9) by means of the indicator (14) fixed to the latter, the user moves this plate by means of a knurled wheel (11) which acts on the screw (10); he chooses the angle of bending by means of the protractor (17) fixed along the slot (16) locks the limit stop (15) which stops the lever (8) the fixed limit stop (18) and the adjustable limit stop (19) serve as bearing point.

Description

The present invention relates to a device for precisely bending the gutter tail hooks
pending.

The folding of these hooks is traditionally carried out
after preliminary tracing of the folding points using
of a hammer holding the shank hook tight in a
vice which does not give a place and a folding angle
precise, moreover the operation is long.

The device according to the invention overcomes
this drawback, it in fact comprises a plate supporting
on the one hand: a matrix to place precisely the
tail hook, this consists of 4 adjustable stops
depending on the series of tail hooks used.

Once the hook is inserted, it will be blocked by
an eccentric actuated by a lever.

on the other hand: a folding lever articulated on a
movable plate moving with a screw in parallel
at the tail of the hook in two parallel slides,
one supports a determining rule using an index
fixed on a movable plate, the precise folding location of
the tail of the hook.

On this movable plate is mounted a stop which is
moves in an arc light along which
is fixed a protractor determining the exact angle of folding
of the hook tail, this stop is locked by tightening a
1 determined place and allows to stop the folding lever
depending on the slope of the roof slope.

The folding lever has a fork in which
pass the tail of the hook which also allows the
initial form of it.

At each hook the user will move the supporting plate
the lever following the slope given to the gutter, will activate
the lever up against the stopper and will thus obtain a
hook folded precisely and without tracing.

This device is made with metal parts
machined, of sufficiently large cross section not to withstand
deformation during use, and assembled by
welding or bolting.

Figure 1 shows, front view, the device according
the invention.

 Figure 2 shows, in section, the same device.

The device shown in Figure 1 includes a
plate (1) of the order of 27 cm by 27 cm, on which
is fixed on the one hand, a matrix (2) comprising a stop (3)
4 adjustable studs (4) depending on the series of hooks
used and of a movable part (5), the user introduces
hook of the selected series, blocks the lever (7), screws
the studs (4) until the hook is tightened, the machine is
ready to stretch used, it will only have to act on the
lever (7) for each hook in the series.

On this movable plate (9) are welded two stops: a
fixed stop (18) and an adjustable stop (19) according to
the section of the hook used. These two stops (18) and (19)
are intended to determine the precise folding point of the
hook used.

The length of the lever (7) allows easy clamping and
shaping of the gutter hook if it has undergone
deformations.

The length of the lever (8) allows folding or unfolding
effortlessly.

Claims (9)

 1) Device for folding the hooks with the tail of gutters characterized in that it comprises an adjustable matrix (2) to (7) making it possible to receive practically all the hooks with the tail gutters and a folding assembly (8) to (18 ) mounted on a movable plate (9) allowing the folding of the tail of the hook.  2) Device according to claim 1) characterized in that the material (2) comprises 4 adjustable pads (4) a stop (3) a movable part (5) actuated; by an eccentric (6) controlled by a lever (7) allowing a hook tightening.  3) Device according to claim 1) characterized in that the folding or unfolding lever moves using a movable support (9).  4) Device according to claim 3) characterized in that the movable plate has an index (14) giving the reading of the progress of the latter.  5) Device according to claim 3) and 4) characterized in that the movable plate (9) moves in two sliding slides (12) using a screw (10) controlled by a thumb wheel six).  6) Device according to claims 3) 4) and 5) charac terized in that one of the slides (12) comprises a rule (13) permtrant using the index (14) reading the displacement of the whole folding.  7) Device according to claim 1) characterized in that the movable plate (9) includes a light in an arc (16) in which a stop moves (15).  8) Device according to claim 7) and 8) characterized in that the stop (15) is blocked at the desired location by tightening following the angle reading on a protractor (17).  9) Device according to claim 7) and 8) characterized in that the stop (15) stops the folding lever (8) at the chosen location.
