Description
MAINTENANCE DE CIRCUITS HYDRAULIQUES
PAR NETTOYAGE MECANIQUE ET
PROTECTION MAGNETIQUE
I - INTRODUCTION
MAINTENANCE OF HYDRAULIC CIRCUITS
BY MECHANICAL CLEANING AND
MAGNETIC PROTECTION
I - INTRODUCTION
The present invention relates to the cleaning and permanent and almost automatic maintenance of any water distribution circuit (DHW loop, heating and refrigeration circuits) and, in particular, of the supply circuits of fire-fighting devices such as for example , sprinkler networks.
Several years after installation, it often happens that the supply circuits are dirty and corroded and that the water supply of a sprirler that has just opened is insufficient or even completely obstructed by deposits of various materials.
For the understanding of what follows, we take an example of a typical circuit. This example is not limiting and the invention can equally well be applied to any other water distribution network. In particular, the process described here in no way affects the potability and the quality of the water.
A water distribution circuit consists of a water supply which supplies one or more main branches followed by secondary branches up to the distribution points.
The entire network is permanently under constant pressure at all points, even without water consumption.
For the implementation of the invention, it is necessary to be able to carry out at least one loop and possibly as many loops as will be necessary in order to optimize the treatment.
Each of the loops can be traversed by a stream of water which will be continuously treated by the process described here.
The present invention applies either to recent installations or to old installations which will undergo a so-called curative phase of cleaning the pipes and, then, a so-called preventive phase supplemented by a maintenance phase.
- curative,
- préventive,
- entretien. 2 - PHASES OF IMPLEMENTING THE INVENTION
The implementation of the invention is broken down into three phases:
- curative,
- preventive,
- interview.
2.1. PHASE CURATIVE
CURATIVE PHASE
The first phase concerns the cleaning of the pipes.
Un exemple non exclusif d'un tel moyen mécanique est celui d'un furet (n0 1 Figure 1 Schéma 1/3) à tête haute pression et jets multi-directionnels (n02 Figure 1 Schéma 1/3).The cleaning is carried out using any mechanical means to the exclusion of any use of any chemical product. A non-exclusive example of such a mechanical means is that of a ferret (n0 1 Figure 1 Diagram 1/3) with high pressure head and multi-directional jets (n02 Figure 1 Diagram 1/3).
The head advances by retroactive jets (n03 Figure 1 Diagram 1/3) under a pressure which can vary from a few bars to more than 900 bar depending on its condition and its diameter.
The particles deposited over the years (n "4 Figure 1 Diagram 1/3), essentially iron oxide, have agglomerated and form a narrowing of the light of the pipe which obstruct the passage of water in particular on the lower part of the pipe where the sprinkler heads are located (n "5 Figure 1 Diagram 1/3).
Under the action of the jet, these particles are pulverized and brought back in the opposite direction of the ferret's movement (n06 Figure 1 Diagram 1/3).
At the end of the pipe, a flexible pipe (n07 Figure 1 Diagram 1/3) connected to a compressor allows these particles to be vacuumed.
In order to follow the good progress of the ferret through the pipes buried in the suspended ceilings, its head may be equipped with an ultrasonic transmitter. In addition, the ferret supply pipe is graduated to read the length introduced into the pipeline.
The advantage of this technique lies in the fact that it can work on lengths of pipes with variable diameter, increasing or decreasing.
Once the length of the antenna or the collector has been cleaned, it is possible to carry out a rinsing by means, for example of a foam shell driven by water pressure for the antennas or directly by a high pressure rinsing for the collectors main.
The internal surface of the pipes thus exposed can receive the preventive phase of the treatment which aims to passivate and protect this surface against corrosion.
If the length to be treated is large, it can be divided into several sections, each of them of a suitable length. This partition also makes it possible to leave part of the network in charge and therefore to leave it active with regard to security.
La phase curative terminée, commence la phase préventive. The curative phase finished, begins the preventive phase.
2.2. PHASE PREVENTIVE
PREVENTIVE PHASE
To better illustrate this, we have drawn in diagram 2/3 Figure 2 an example of a fire detection network.
This network is traditionally composed of a central sprinkler or water delivery station (n "l Figure 2 Diagram 2/3), main distribution manifolds (n02 Figure 2 Diagram 2/3), antennas including the heads sprinklers (n03 Figure 2 Diagram 2/3).
The preventive phase recommended according to the invention takes place in two (2) stages:
FIRST TIME: Network loopback.
In order to optimize processing according to the characteristics of the equipment installed, each part of the network under treatment must have certain dimensions, in length and in volume. Hence the need to share any large network in a number of loops.
On the network, only the main distribution manifolds (n01 Figure 3
Diagram 3/3), in order to sweep most of it and obtain loops of equivalent volume.
DEUXIEME TEMPS : Mise en place de l'appareillage.SECOND TIME: Installation of the apparatus.
- Une filtration de type séparateur centrifuge de particules (n02 Figure 3 Schéma 3/3).Each loop is closed on an apparatus comprising, without limitation, the following components:
- Filtration of the centrifugal particle separator type (n02 Figure 3 Diagram 3/3).
- Une pompe de circulation (n"3 Figure 3 Schéma 3/3). - A circulation pump (n "3 Figure 3 Diagram 3/3).
- Un conditionneur magnétique d'eau (n04 Figure 3 Schéma 3/3). - A magnetic water conditioner (n04 Figure 3 Diagram 3/3).
- A sampling point for water analysis (n "5 Figure 3 Diagram 3/3).
The installation of the devices is carried out as follows:
- The centrifugal particle separator is installed on the section used to loop two
main collectors, upstream of the pump and, with a by-pass control valve
in order to follow the manufacturer's instructions (n "2 Figure 3 Diagram 3/3).
- On this section a pump circulates in a closed circuit (n03 Figure 3 Diagram 3/3).
- Downstream of the pump is the magnetic water conditioner (n04 Figure 3 Diagram 3/3).
Filtration is completed by an automatic emptying system of the particles collected as soon as the volume of these becomes excessive and troublesome for the proper functioning of the device.
The characteristics of the pump are determined so that it can provide the flow rates and pressures necessary for the proper functioning of the various components.
The magnetic water conditioner and, as well as the filtration, are associated with accessories intended to optimize their operating conditions (bypass with regulation valve, manometer, degasser, etc.).
The passivation film is obtained by the passage of water inside the magnetic conditioner and is stabilized by filtration.
The purpose of these non-chemical means is to stabilize and modify the various components of water in order to promote the appearance of passivation of surfaces in the form of an iron oxide film .
There will be a set of loop processing created on the network (Diagram 2/3 and 3/3). The advantage of this system is that in no case it interferes with the distribution of water if requested. In addition, it withstands a permanent pressure of 8 to 12 bar.
The pressure is maintained at the water delivery station or "sprulkler" station by the buffer tank.
MAINTENANCE AND MONITORING PHASE
We follow the evolution of the treatment and stabilization of the passivation by sets of sensors of the water parameters whose signals are sent remotely (remote monitoring of fluids).
This long-term phase extends from the curative phase described above until the sprinlders are put into service.
To monitor the development of corrosion control and the stabilization of iron oxide, a water analysis chamber is installed on each loop, comprising a set of sensors which measure the following parameters in real time:
- pH and temperature,
- The Th,
- The rate of dissolved oxygen in the water,
- The rate of iron oxide dissolved in water, in Fe2t and Fe3 +,
- Conductivity.
This chamber is supplied by a solenoid valve located at a sample point consisting of a tap on the loop. The solenoid valve is open whenever you want to take and analyze a sample of the water.
The sensors are connected to a data transmitter. We can thus follow remotely and memorize the evolution of the preventive phase.
Each sensor operates on a range defined beforehand by a computer program specific to these measurements. An alarm signals malfunctions and a printer allows you to keep an archive document.
An extension of these processes is entirely possible for:
- Heating networks,
- All types of air conditioning networks,
- Sanitary application with in particular the circulation of sanitary hot water.
