Abstract

The plant pots are held on a rigid vertical straight support (A) which is made in anodised aluminium or galvanized zinc. Hooks (B) are fixed to this and the edge of each pot is engaged in a cut-out in this, which is adapted to the shape of different pots and is held by its own weight.The hooks are U-shaped or H-shaped and made in aluminium or plastic material. They are fixed to the support by fixing screws with flat heads which are screwed through holes in them.

SUSPENSION FOR INDOOR PLANTS
IN VERTICAL GROUPING
The present invention relates to a vertical support device, by hanging pots of flowers and green plants taken in a group.

 In modern homes, there is a real difficulty in highlighting your indoor plants, too dry atmosphere, lack of light and variety of plants adding additional constraints to the lack of space.

 It is necessary to move towards a vertical arrangement, in order to confine the plants in a column of humid air. This atmosphere can be maintained by grouping the plants itself under the conditions that they are sufficiently close together and that the fixing can be done without practical and aesthetic constraints. The system, taken as a whole, presents a global solution to the different imperatives.

 It has a vertical support on which are fixed as many hanging points as hanging pots.

 The vertical support, included in the invention, can be a tube or a hollow section of square section (case of our presentation).

 The attachment device, included in the invention, consists of a part, the use of which recalls taking a pot with the fingers of one hand.

 It is a piece with a cutout evoking the shape, in section, of the rim of a flowerpot as shown in Figure 1.

 To fix it, we approach the pot by leaning it forward towards the cut, then we straighten it vertically by raising it. It is enough to make it then go back down until it stops under the collar. We can let go.

The pot, by its own weight, self-maintains in this position according to a balance of forces shown schematically in Figure 1. To remove it, simply proceed in reverse order.

In order to take into account the multiple application cases, the following variants are envisaged
- the fixing of the support which is done between floor and ceiling, is possible
in a wall bracket, or on a mobile stand.

- the vertical support can be a tube of about thirty five milli
meters in diameter in aluminum or galvanized steel.

- the vertical support can be an anodized aluminum section
square of about forty millimeters on a side with a slide in
dovetail along the entire length of each side.

- the hooking parts can be fixed by screw and lock nut
sliding in a dovetail profile of the support.

- the hanging pieces can be cut from an alumi profile
nium in U or H, or can be made of plastic (polyethylene by
example) molded in one piece.

 FIG. 2 represents the attachment piece shaped by milling in a U-shaped profile (in aluminum 2 mm) on scale 1, dimensioned to suit earthen pots with a diameter at the edge between ten and twenty-five centimeters .

 Figure 3 shows a variant of the attachment piece for plastic pots with a diameter between ten and thirty centimeters, shaped in an H profile (2 mm aluminum) to ensure vertical stability.

 In both cases, the top view is drawn in section, the support (A) is in partial view and the screw thread is not specified.

 With reference to these drawings, the system consists of a vertical support (A) and several attachment pieces (B) fixed on this support.

 In the case of a tubular support, the attachment is machined in an H profile, the fixing being ensured by screws of the PARKER type with flat head. The support in this case comprises holes of an appropriate diameter.

 In the case of a square section support, with dovetail slide, the attachment is machined in a U-shaped profile, the fixing being ensured by screws, the asymmetrical nut (e) sliding in the slide, this which allows a position adjustment for the different flower pots.

 The attachment piece has a fixing hole (c).

 These are parts whose cutout (d) allows the pot to be retained under the collar and by the edge under the sole effect of its weight, according to a balance of forces shown diagrammatically in Figure 1.

 The flowerpot, once engaged in the cut, tends to pivot on the collar. Can therefore be suitable for this device all types of pots with a sufficiently marked flange, or a recess of about 2 millimeters or more, at an angle of 90 degrees plus or minus 15 degrees.

 The cut is double, since the part is machined in a U or H profile in order to reinforce the vertical stability.

 The decorative use of the system is suitable for individuals, as well as professionals wishing to create a natural setting.

Claims (3)

 1) Device intended for grouping indoor plants in pots according to a vertical assembly, characterized in that it comprises a rigid and rectilinear support (A), tubular or of square section, on which are fixed hanging pieces ( B) having on their front face a cutout (d) in which the pot, once engaged by its rim, self-maintains by its own weight.  2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the attachment pieces (B) have a cutout (d), whose shape is adapted according to the different categories of pots.  3) Device according to claim 2 characterized in that this cutout (d) keeps the pot engaged, by a balance of forces similar to that implemented when the pot is taken with one hand, thumb at the edge and a finger under the collar.
