FIXATION DE SECURITE POUR SURF DE NEIGE
NON VERROUILLABLE ,
A TENSION D'ENCLENCHEMENT VARIABLE .SECURITY FIXING FOR SNOW SURFING
NOT LOCKABLE,
WITH VARIABLE LOCKING VOLTAGE.
This binding consists of a base- adjustable in angle, on which are fixed two series of elements, between which fits a plate - adapter, lockable under a standard ski boot sole.
I) Le socle est une pièce d'environ 25 cm de long 17 cm de large , épaisse d'environ 12 inm ; c'est un ovale régulier ;
En considèrant la longueur moyenne d'un pied , homme ou femme adultes , la y ère série d'éléments , les mâchoires sont- situées approximativement dans le 3em et le 4em 1/6 de la longueur du- pied ; la 2 es série d'éléments , les rouleaux sont situés à peu près dans le- ?eiir e-t le 5em 1/6 de la longueur du pied ;
I - un cylindre ( fig 1 , C ) , pivotant sur un axe ;
des supports ( fig 1 , B ) ( fig 4 & 5 ) , qui constituent la partie haute de la mâchoire ( fig 1 ) ;
d'un ressort ( fig 5 bis ) ;
sur la figure 1 ;;
( fig 1 , F ) ;
de chute ou de collision ;;
( fig 10 , échelle approx : 2/1 ) ; ces deux bras de l'étrier se
rejoignent , pour former un pied unique ( fig 10 ) ;
Description du mécanisme précité
Ce double crantage actionne , selon le mouvement de 0 ( fig 13 ) sur elle - même , la montée ou la descente d'un couple de tiges ( P , fig 14 ) , de 15 à 17 mm de long , crantées sur les 2/3 de leur longueur ; la partie haute de P ( fig 14 ) est clipsée à une des extrémités des ressorts ;
Ces ressorts coulissent dans un logement en arc de cercle qui suit approximativement le profil de l'étrier (fig 10) ;
J et mâchoire ;
La course de P ( fig 14 ) sur 0 ( fig 13 ) est d'environ 8 à 10 mm ;
La tige N ( fig 12 ) est solidaire d'une ailette en forme de demi - papillon ( M , fig 11 ) , de matière semi - rigide , qui , actionnée manuellement , se déplace sur un angle de 180 à peu près , permettant instantanément toutes les combinaisons de tensions des ressorts , affectant le déplacement latéral des rouleaux J ;
3) Un plateau - adaptateur , verrouillable sous une semelle de chaussure de ski standard ( dessin de l'abrégé ) ;;
Ces deux séries de profil , P 1 et P 2 , sont implantés sur trois lignes divergentes entr'elles de quelques degrés ; ;
Le plateau - adaptateur , aonsidéré d'un point quelconque d'une ligne droite théorique traversant son centre perpendiculairement , est un octogone régulier , aux côtés parallèles , par paires diamètralement opposées ;
lie sillon du profil P E :: ( F , fig 1 ) , est un segment
diamètre des rouleaux E ( E , fig 1 ) ;
l'obstacle que constitue le rebord convexe i ( i , fig B
contribuent à maintenir les trois rouleaux E dans le sillon F ;;
permettant le déclenchement instantané des deux pieds ;
La partie haute du profil ( ?' , fig 2 ) , est concave ;
!' correspond à un arc d'un cercle du diamètre des rouleaux J
est un demi - cercle convexe de 3 à 5 mm de diamètre environ ;
Au centre de l'espace libre entre les deux jeux de mâchoires et rouleaux , sur la surface utile du socle , qui reçoit en appui la semelle du plateau - adaptateur , est emboitée une demi - sphère , escamotable vers le bas , sur une série de lames flexibles ou ressorts , dans l'épaisseur du socle ;;
La fonction de ce dispositif est d'éviter la dérive longitudinal de ltensemble : pieds / plateaux--adaptateurs le long des fixations latérales , du fait qu'il n'y a pas de blocage avant / arrière externe au plateau - adaptateur . I) The base is a piece about 25 cm long 17 cm wide, about 12 inm thick; it is a regular oval;
This oval base is fixed to the body of the board by means of a circular piece of approximately 13 cm internal diameter, and 16.5 cm external diameter; this part is housed in the thickness of the base, and is screwed onto the surf using 5 or 6 screws; as many circular passages of 10 to 12 mm are distributed over a circle of approximately 14 to 15 cm in diameter on the upper surface of the base; these passages make it possible to screw the pivot (the circular part previously described) on the surf ;; plastic or rubber pellets block these passages, once the pivot has been screwed
The angle of adjustment of the base is approximately 1500,
Angle adjustable plinths are state of the art, for safety fasteners
2) Two series of elements, fixed on the base table, allow the interlocking or engagement of a third element, the plate - adapter
These two series of elements, jaws (Figure I) and rollers (Figure 2), are arranged longitudinally - at the foot
Considering the average length of a foot, adult man or woman, the 1st series of elements, the jaws are located approximately in the 3rd and 4th 1/6 of the length of the foot; the 2 nd series of elements, the rollers are situated approximately in the middle and the fifth 1/6 of the length of the foot;
The jaws, whose profile shape is defined in Figure 1, are composed of the following elements:
I - a cylinder (fig 1, C), pivoting on an axis;
II - an engagement command (fig 1, C '), integral with the cylinder, extending the cylinder towards the inside of the fixing
III - supports (fig I, A), monobloc with the
cylinder; 4 in number, they hold three rollers,
IV - three rollers (fig 1., E) (fig 7), approximately 15 mm long, with an approximate diameter of 20 mm
which have the function of fitting into a groove (fig 1, F
on a corresponding profile (fig 1, P 1), lateral component of the plate - adapter
These rollers (fig 7, scale :: 2/1), mounted on bearings, are held on an axis of 6 mm in diameter
This 6 mm axis partially fits into the heads
supports (fig 1, B) (fig 4 & 5), which constitute the upper part of the jaw (fig 1);
The end of the axis of 6 min (fig 7 SE bis
fits into a cursor (fig 5 ter), which moves
elastically, over a stroke of about 4 to 5 mm, inside the text of the supports (fig 4 & 5), through
a spring (fig 5 bis);
The roller displacement angle is represented by T
in Figure 1 ;;
At the two ends of the cylinders (fig 1, C), a
ovoid cam, presses, in the engaged position of the jaws,
on two flexible blades housed in the support of the axis of
cylinders (fig 3, scale
This support tends to reopen the jaws, in position
triggered
The pressure exerted by the cams on the flexible blades
(fig 3) is lower than that of the rollers (fig 7),
between the heads of the supports (fig 4 & 5), on the grooves
(fig 1, F);
This pressure difference makes it unlikely that a
triggering of the jaws, in normal condition of use, but contributes to a rapid triggering, in case
fall or collision;
Side rollers (fig 2) (fig 9 & 10), located on either side of the jaw, at an angle slightly oriented towards the inside of the binding
These rollers (J, fig 2 & g), approximately
20 mm long and 30 mm in diameter, move so
elastic, on a plane parallel to the plane of the base of the
fixation
The axis of the Jr rollers is held at its two ends
in a cursor (fig 9 bis) which moves laterally for about 15 min, in a cage containing a spring
The spring housing or cage is drilled or molded inside the two arms of the caliper - supporting the rollers
(fig 10, approx scale: 2/1); these two arms of the stirrup stand
join, to form a single foot (fig 10);
A simple mechanism allows simultaneous adjustment of
springs contained in the two arms of the caliper, varying the pressure of the rollers (j ') on the profile P 2 (fig 2
This mechanism allows the user to adjust his fastenings for both feet in less than 25 seconds without having to take off his board, as appropriate
Description of the above mechanism
Perpendicular to the outer slope of the stirrup foot, a cylindrical rod approximately 25 mm long (N, fig 12), housed in a protuberance at the side of the stirrup foot (fig 10), actuates, by means of 'a set of gables
conical, a second rod (0, fig 13), housed transversely - in the length of the stirrup foot; this rod (0), approximately 45 mm long, is notched over two portions of its length, as suggested in FIG. 13; (approx scale: 2/1)
This double notching activates, according to the movement of 0 (fig 13) on itself, the ascent or descent of a pair of rods (P, fig 14), 15 to 17 mm long, notched on the 2 / 3 of their length; the upper part of P (fig 14) is clipped to one end of the springs;
These springs slide in a housing in an arc which follows approximately the profile of the stirrup (fig 10);
Operated upwards by 0 (fig 13), the 2 P rods
(fig 14) push the springs upwards, in compression on themselves and on the sliders (fig 9 bis), thus varying the minimum pressure necessary for the lateral stroke of the rollers (J), to trigger the assembly : rollers
J and jaw;
The stroke of P (fig 14) over 0 (fig 13) is approximately 8 to 10 mm;
The rod N (fig 12) is integral with a half-butterfly-shaped fin (M, fig 11), of semi-rigid material, which, actuated manually, moves over an angle of 180 approximately, allowing instantaneous all combinations of spring tensions, affecting the lateral displacement of the rollers J;
The signs + and 6, 5, 4, on the one hand, and -, 3, 2, 1 on the other hand, materialized on each side of the fin (M, fig 11), reduce the possibilities of false - maneuver or user confusion (tric-e),
3) An adapter plate, lockable under a standard ski boot sole (drawing of the abstract);
Maintained in the shoe by conventional methods, from the field of the state of the art, the plate - adapter is composed laterally of two series of different profiles
The I er- profile (P 1, fig 1), has the function of fitting or snapping into the upper part of the jaws
lie 2 em profile (P 2, fig 2), has the function of consolidating the engagement of the profile P 1, and making possible the release of the binding, when it is necessary that it releases
These two profile series, P 1 and P 2, are located on three divergent lines a few degrees apart; ;
The adapter plate, considered from any point on a theoretical straight line crossing its center perpendicularly, is a regular octagon, with parallel sides, in diametrically opposite pairs;
Characteristics of the slopes and shapes of the two platform profiles - adapter
Profile P i (fig I): the lower part of the profile (G fig 1), is slightly concave and allows actuation of the jaw engagement commands (C ', fig I),
The prominent convex part of P 1: (i, fig l
is a segment of a circle, allowing the three rollers E
(fig 1 l) fig- 7, to make their passage towards the position of
jaws engaged, moving 4 to 5 mm toward the
high, between the jaw heads (fig 4,5,7 &&)
PE profile groove :: (F, fig 1), is a segment
of circle, concave, corresponding to an arc of a circle of
diameter of the rollers E (E, fig 1);
At the end of the engagement phase, the rollers E stall
in groove F (fig S); spring pressure (fig 5 bis
on the axes of the rollers R, down, added to
the obstacle constituted by the convex ledge i (i, fig B
help keep the three rollers E in the groove F ;;
In all cases of overpressure tending to dislodge the
rollers E of the groove F, the support, attenuated mame, of the part
low G of profile P 1, over-engage commands C '
will be enough to keep the jaws engaged
In the event of a fall or collision, the modification of
the user's average angle relative to the plane of the
surf, is sufficient to lighten the engagement commands
in sets of two, example:
- left side / left foot
- left side / right foot
- right side / left foot
- right side / right foot
allowing instant triggering of both feet;
Characteristics of the slopes and shapes of the two profiles
of the plate - adapter
Profile P 2 (fig 2): the lower part of the profile (G '
fig 2), allows, during the boot fitting phase
move the rollers J (fig 2 & 9), laterally, towards
the inside of the binding; it is a convex arc
The upper part of the profile (? ', Fig 2), is concave;
! ' corresponds to an arc of a circle of the diameter of the rollers J
At the end of the engagement phase, the Jr rollers press
on the upper part of P 2 (y '), providing pressure
variable (page 3, lines 1 to 32) and sufficient to contribute
keep the jaws engaged, in all cases
- frequent, frequent in the field of use ;;. ( while
a lightening phase, the weight of the user is canceled
on the engagement commands, tending to cause the
jaw trigger
The junction of the two components of P 2, (R '&;'),
is a convex semicircle approximately 3 to 5 mm in diameter;
In the center of the free space between the two sets of jaws and rollers, on the useful surface of the base, which receives in support the sole of the adapter plate, is fitted a hemisphere, retractable downwards, on a series of flexible blades or springs, in the thickness of the base;
The emerging part on the surface of the base corresponds to approximately 2/5 of a sphere of 25 min in diameter
These 2/5 of retractable sphere fit into their inverted mold, located in the center of the sole of the plate - adapter
The function of this device is to avoid the longitudinal drift of the assembly: feet / plates - adapters along the lateral fixings, because there is no front / rear blocking external to the plate - adapter.
Two openings of approximately 15 mm, at each end of this protection, allow the passage of the external part of the rod N (fig 12); the adjustment fins
M (fig 11), fitted or screwed onto the rods N, protrude from the assembly and are accessible outside the protective casing,
binds operation, of this fixing and its design which can make it not very easy, the raising operation on medium or steep slope, an elastic strap fixed to one of the two sets of lateral jaws, makes it possible to temporarily block the assembly in the engaged position, by means of a clip (or press button) fixed on the other lateral jaw; ; a pull tab, easily accessible to the user (user), allows, once lifted (raised) and raised (ée), to unclip the strap, making operating the safety system proper
