Abstract

Compsns. for arresting hair loss, treating dandruff, pruritis, seborrhoea, alopecia and similar scalp and hair disorders, and promoting hair regrowth, comprise principally powdered vegetable charcoal and powdered burdock. The compsns. contain 50-60% charcoal and 10-20% burdock. The compsns. may also contain (a) powdered lavender, cloves, talc and 'gassoul' (natural clay earth) and/or (b) alcohol, watercress juice, virgin olive oil and/or glycerol. Components (b) are added just before use, esp. as a shampoo.
