Abstract

The low wall (1) of precast concrete, for placing generally at boundaries of detached houses for letter-boxes, electricity meters or intercom phones, has a separate precast foundation (5) with four threaded bolts (3) connecting the two units. The fixing bolts with nuts are used for levelling purposes. Different types of concrete may be used for the two units. With the upper part of the foundation having a regular beam section, that part can be cast in several lengths for several models of walls. USE/ADVANTAGES - Can be accurately plumbed when being placed on the foundation, designed to resist overturning moment, cost effective with cheaper concrete in foundation than wall itself.
