Abstract

Appts. comprises an elongated sampling probe in the form of a tubular body with a wall, with an open section extending over its entire length and part of its periphery. The probe has a closure flap which pivots between an open and a closed position. The flap is retractable within the tubular body. A central longitudinal rotating axle within the tubular body as radially projecting brushes distributed along its length. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used for sampling from oral cavities. The device avoids contamination from other areas and allows microorganisms to be stored with nutrient.
