Abstract

The tensioning device comprises a threaded orifice (1) in a support block into which the crimped cable (2) may be inserted. The cable has a crimped ferrule (5) on its end, applied after the cable has already passed through a bolt (3) having an axial hole (4). When the bolt is threaded into the hole, the cable is tensioned as the bolt acts on the ferrule at the cable end.
