Abstract

The invention relates to a device intrinsic to the frame, enabling the wearer to change the lenses, either sunglass lenses or sight-correcting (optical) lenses of his spectacles in order to enable him to make use of a range of coloured lenses or lenses adapted to sporting activities. It consists of a face (0) having 2 grooves (8) into which the lenses (3) are inserted and of a metal piece (4) provided with 2 feet (lugs, tabs) (6) which are themselves provided with grooves (7). When the wearer exerts a force opposing that of the said feet (6) which act as springs, he creates a space sufficient for disengaging or engaging the lenses 3 in the frame (0). The device according to the invention is particularly intended for changing the lenses of a spectacle frame available for any user.

Spectacle frame designed to change lenses
The present invention relates to a device inherent in a mounting of
Glasses for changing sun or optical lenses.

 Traditionally, sunglasses or optical lenses are placed on their frames by permanent or temporary fixing methods, which do not allow the user to change lenses, at will and on his own.

 The device according to the invention overcomes this drawback.

In the invention which occupies us, one preserves part of the traditional frame: the 2 arcades and the trigger guard which connects them. (The trigger guard is the central part of the frame, the one that surmounts the nose.)
The first originality of the invention consists in digging deeply the throat of the arches in order to better insert the glasses.

 The second originality is a metallic element. This is fixed by screwing under the trigger guard of the frame. It is extended downwards and on either side of the trigger guard by 2 quarter circles each provided with a groove. The 2 grooves of the arches and the 2 grooves of the original metal element form the 4 parts of a double clamp responsible for strongly holding the 2 glasses. This simple mechanism allows the user to place on his frame and at will colored glasses, whose characteristics are mainly solar, but which can also be optical (this allowing, in this precise case, the user to obtain , in very specific situations, a temporary correction adapted to his needs).

Principle of Operation:
- Opening: the mechanical properties of the metal make it possible to separate the 2 metal tabs, by simply pulling them by holding them between the thumb and the index finger. This frees the glasses and allows them to be replaced easily.

 - Closing: by releasing the traction exerted on the 2 metal legs which act as springs, the 2 lenses are once again firmly sandwiched between the grooves of the metal legs and those of the frame.

With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a face (0) composed of 2 arches (1) and a trigger guard (2). Each of the 2 arches is hollowed out with a groove (8) having a shape corresponding to that of the glass (3) of mainly circular shape. Under the trigger guard (2) is fixed a metallic piece (4) composed of 3 parts: a fixing lug (5), screwed (9) to the trigger guard (2), from which 2 other metallic lugs (6) leave each a groove (7). These 2 tabs (6) also have a shape corresponding to that of the glasses (3).

These 2 metal tabs (6) have the elasticity necessary for their spacing in order to release the glasses (3). By simple pull on these legs (6),
The user will free up sufficient space to free the glasses (3) from their housing (8) in the arches (1). Likewise, it can thus replace other glasses designed for this purpose, in their housing.

 The device according to the invention is particularly intended for changing the lenses of a spectacle frame, within the reach of any user.

Claims (4)

 1) Device allowing the user to change the glasses of his glasses, characterized in that it comprises a face (0) having 2 grooves (8) into which the glasses (3) are introduced, and of a metal part (4), screwed (9) on the frame (0) at the trigger guard (2) and provided with 2 metal tabs (6), acting as a spring, themselves provided with grooves (7), maintaining or releasing the glasses (3) depending on whether the user exerts traction on these said tabs (6).  2) Device according to claim 1 in that the grooves (8) hollowed out in the arches (1), corresponding to the shape of the glasses (3), constitute a part of the device for fitting the glasses.  3) Device according to claim 1 in that the central metal part (4) screwed onto the bezel (0), constitutes the mechanical part of the invention, a metal acting as a spring will be used for its manufacture.  4) Device according to claim 1 in that the grooves (7) of these said metal tabs (6), corresponding to the shape of the glasses (3), keep the glasses (3) in position.
