Abstract

The method of manufacturing a bottle comprises: - in a first step, the production of a bottle (1a) made of a semi-flexible material by injection-blow moulding or extrusion-blow moulding, this bottle comprising an open neck (2) and, at the opposite end, a closed bottom (3); - in a second step, one of the two following operations is carried out: welding of the main faces (4, 5) of the bottle (1a) over the entire width of the bottle, in the vicinity of the bottom; cutting of the lower part of the bottle (1a) so as to remove the bottom (3) of the bottle coming from the injection-blow moulding or extrusion-blow moulding operation; and - in a third step, the other of the abovementioned two operations is performed so that a flexible package is obtained without the base being stiffened.
