Abstract

The invention allows amputees to move about freely, with one hand free, and without hopping. It consists of the legs (1) (Fig.1) forming the body of the crutch, with a padded armpit support (5) (Fig.1). A grip (6) (Fig.1) for resting the hand on, at different vertical positions. A tube (2) (Fig.1) which is situated to the inside of the legs (1) (Fig.1) and is fixed at two points (8) and (9) (Fig.1). A rod (3) (Fig.1) sliding inside the tube (2) (Fig.1) is adjustable in height. The stump support (4) (Fig.1, Fig.2) is adjustable in height, is fixed on the tube (2) (Fig.1) and permits positioning of the stump. In the case where the stump is very short, the stump support (4) (Fig.1, Fig.2) is replaced by a strap (10) (Fig.1) which is fixed to the legs (1) (Fig.1) and is adjustable in height.

Description

DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
The present invention consists of an orthopedic crutch for people with lower limb amputations. Usually the one-legged only had two possibilities to move, the prosthesis or the canes.

The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention. The device consists of the legs (1) Fig 1 inside which is fixed a tube (2) Fig 1, the tube (2) Fig 1 is fixed by two fixings (8) and (9) Fig 1. A rod (3) Fig 1 slides inside the tube (2) Fig 1 and is locked at an adjustable height.

Fig 1, Fig 2 le support du moignon.
The stand is adjustable in three points
Adjustable at the handle (6) Fig 1. Adjustable with regard to the height of the stand by positioning the rod (3) Fig 1 inside the tube (2) Fig 1. Adjustable at (4)
Fig 1, Fig 2 the stump support.

Fig 1 est fixé aux deux jambes (1) Fig 1 en deux points (8) et (9) Fig 1.
The part (5) Fig 1 used to support the disabled by his armpit is constituted by a padded support, this part (5) Fig 7 is located at the end of the legs (1) Fig 1. A handle (6) Fig 1 is fixed on both legs, several positions being adjustable in height. The stump support (4)
Fig 1 and Fig 2, used by the disabled to support his stump is fixed on the tube (2) Fig 1, its thickness being less than the spacing of the legs (1) Fig 1, this fixing is adjustable in height. In the case where the stump is very short, the stump support (4) Fig 1, Fig 2 is replaced by a strap (10) Fig 1 fixed to the legs (1) Fig 1. The tube (2)
Fig 1 is fixed to the two legs (1) Fig 1 at two points (8) and (9) Fig 1. The rod (3) Fig 1 slides inside the tube (2)
Fig 1, it is fitted with a non-slip sole (7) Fig 1.

With this new process, one-legged players can move around with a free hand and without jumping. The cut leg is placed by its stump on the part (4) Fig 1,
Fig 2, attached to the stand or supported by the strap (10) Fig 1, attached to the stand. This new device allows a disabled person to regain autonomy similar to their prosthesis.
