Abstract

IMPROVEMENT FOR GOLF BAGS

  The present invention relates to a golf bag and more

  particularly an improvement of its upper part.

  The golf bags in which the various clubs used during the game are stored include a lower flange connected to a flange

  upper by a peripheral envelope forming the bag itself.

  The lower flange is closed to form the bottom of the bag, while the upper flange forms a visible peripheral border to constitute

  the head of the bag through which the clubs are strung.

  The clubs are stored in the bag, their handle generally called grip resting on the bottom, while their head protrudes from the bag to be grasped by the player The club sleeves are thus resting against the inner edge of the upper flange or its alveoli The various perpetual movements of the bag during, in particular of its carrying by the player, cause a constant friction of the sleeves on said edge of the flange which is generally constructed of rigid material It follows premature wear of the sleeves giving them a particularly aspect unpleasant This is all the more true for the handles made of composite material, developed

  The present invention therefore seeks to overcome these drawbacks and proposes a bag whose upper part and in particular its flange

  upper, includes a protective piece for the sleeves.

  Thus the golf bag according to the invention comprises at its upper part an upper flange comprising at least one cell, characterized in that the upper flange is constituted by a main part of which at least one of the cells comprises on its internal surface a secondary part made of a softer material than

  the one from which the main room is made.

  According to an additional characteristic, the main part is made of plastic, and the secondary part is produced with the same plastic material but having a lower hardness. However, the secondary part can also be made of a plastic material of a different nature.   The golf bag designated by the general reference (1) comprises in a manner known per se, at its lower part, a lower flange (2) and at its upper part, an upper flange (3) The lower and upper flanges being connected l 'to each other by a peripheral envelope (4) forming the outer wall of the bag itself The upper flange and the lower flange are advantageously made of plastic, while the peripheral envelope is of rigid, semi-rigid material or flexible, such as a plastic canvas or leather The bag also comprises a set of pockets (5), a carrying strap (6) as well as a
