Abstract

Device for carrying a child. The invention relates to a device which enables a person to carry a child in front of him or herself without tiring the arms. It consists of a tube of fabric sewn into a large fabric loop (1) of invariable size and stuffed with kapok, which is passed under the arm carrying the child. A smaller, adjustable loop of fabric (4) is attached to the larger loop (1) at two points where the tube is sewn flat (7) without kapok. This smaller loop of fabric (4), hanging like a sling in front of the user, is stuffed with kapok except at the points which slide and support the metal loop (5) by means of which the length can be adjusted. The hand of the carrying arm can be inserted through this smaller loop of fabric (4) to the relieve the child's weight. The device according to the invention can be worn either on the left or on the right.

Description

 The present invention relates to a device for carrying a child without fatigue in the arms.

 People with children, especially women, experience fatigue in their arms, even during a short trip.

The device according to the invention eliminates this fatigue. It consists essentially of a long sleeve of resistant fabric, stuffed in certain places with kapok, and a metal loop allowing the adjustment of its length. This sleeve is sewn so as to make two loops of fabric
- a large fabric loop whose dimension is inva
reliable and,
- a smaller fabric loop with a metal loop
size allowing adjustment of the length.

 These two loops of fabric are connected by two parts of the sleeve sewn flat without kapok.

 With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a large loop of fabric (1), entirely stuffed with kapok, thus improving the comfort of the user. This large loop of fabric (1) must be threaded around the arm which will support the child and the rounded end (2) of this large loop of fabric (1) must be brought as far as the armpit of this arm.

 The sewn end (3) of the large fabric loop, the flat sewn parts (7) and necessarily the small adjustable fabric loop (4), must be passed over the shoulder opposite the arm that will support the child passing behind the nape of the neck, in order to hang in a sling in front of the user (fig. 3).

 The small adjustable fabric loop (4) will also be partly stuffed with kapok always for better comfort.

The parts of this small adjustable fabric loop (4) supporting the metal loop (5) and sliding in it will not be filled with kapok, in order to allow the length of the device to be adjusted.

 Once the device has been placed in this way, it suffices to place the child facing the carrier on the forearm of the device and to thread the hand of this arm into the small adjustable loop of fabric (4).

 The length adjustment of the small fabric loop (4) allows the user to adjust the device to his liking according to his size and that of the child.

The weight of the child is thus distributed over the shoulders and under the armpit of the user, allowing him to carry the child without contracting the muscles of the carrying arm, therefore without fatigue
By way of nonlimiting example, the total length of the unfolded fabric sleeve, before making, would be of the order of 2.10 meters. Once made, the large loop of fabric could represent, until the first seam (6), a circle of the order of 1.20 meters in circumference. The remaining 0.90 meters will be used to make the small adjustable loop of fabric which could represent an adjustable circle of the order of 0.40 meters to 0.80 meters in circumference from the seam (6).

 The device according to the invention can be made of any resistant fabric composed of natural or synthetic fibers, the choice of colors and patterns of which is not limiting.

 The device according to the invention can be worn either on the right or on the left.

Claims (6)

 - 1) Device for carrying a child without fatigue in the arms, characterized in that it consists essentially of a fabric sleeve stuffed with kapok in certain places and a metal loop (5) allowing the adjustment in length of the device.  - 2) Device according to claiml, characterized in that the sleeve is sewn so as to make two loops of fabric connected by two parts of the sleeve sewn flat (7) one on the other.  - 3) Device according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that the large loop of fabric (1) is of defined size and invariable, entirely stuffed with kapok.  - 4) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that two parts of the sleeve fabric sewn flat (7) and without kapok connect the large fabric keybou (1) and the small adjustable fabric loop (4 ).  - 5) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the small loop of fabric (4) is adjustable and is equipped for this with a metal loop (5).  - 6) Device according to claim 5, characterized in that the small adjustable fabric loop (4) is filled with kapok except in places supporting the metal loop and sliding therein, to allow easy adjustment of the device.
