Abstract

The invention relates to a manual tool which is easy to manipulate inside gutters, troughs and other cavities for scrubbing them and removing obstructing materials therefrom. It consists of a rigid collection scoop (2), fitted at the front with a scraper flap (1) and at the rear with a sleeve (3) for receiving a handle, and with a removable cover (4) which fits onto the scoop and is fixed thereto by means of the fold (5); the rigid scoop, used on its own, collects the oversize waste and, when it is fitted with the cover, the openworked parts (6) of which allow only water to pass through, it collects the fine elements such as sand, gravel and sludge. The tool according to the invention will find its application in the upkeep of roadways, and external drainage networks of buildings.

Description

 The present invention relates to a manual tool for scouring and picking up materials cluttering gutters, gutters and other sanitation cavities.

 Currently, non-mechanical scouring-collection in gutters and other sanitation cavities is still carried out, either with the hands or with wooden handles or ends, which leads to too many repetitive operations to obtain a suitable result in not much time.

 The tool according to the invention can be easily maneuvered inside the gutters or other sanitation cavities, it has the appearance of a rigid basket open at its front part provided with a horizontal squeegee, made of metal or other hard, heavily perforated material to retain only large debris; at its rear is disposed a sleeve where adapters of various tongues adapt according to the situation of the cavity to be cleaned, a variant is provided with a handle; the tool is completed by a removable element called a sheath which conforms to its internal shape and adapts to it instantly thanks to its front fold enclosing the squeegee; sheath is less openwork than the basket to retain finer materials such as sand, gravel, mud, while letting the water pass; it can be made of less hard materials than the tool to which it adapts.

 A variant of the tool according to the invention has its front part straightened in order to allow the waste from the deep cavities to be brought up vertically, its sleeve conforming to the same curvatures.

 Figure 1 shows the two elements of the tool according to the invention, in the accompanying drawings.

 FIG. 2 represents a variant of the tool intended for deep cavities.

 Figure 3 shows a variant with handle.

 With reference to these drawings, the tool according to the invention comprises in its front part a squeegee (1) making it possible to scour the gutter and to facilitate the entry of materials into the heavily perforated basket (2) so as to retain only coarse debris, and its rear part is provided with a sleeve (3) intended to receive a handle; the tool is completed with a removable sheath (4) whose shapes follow its interior and which quickly adapts to it, maintained by means of the front fold (5) where the squeegee (I) is housed, the perforated parts (6) allow the water to flow while retaining sand, gravel and sludge.

 According to the variant illustrated in Figure 2 the front part (7) of one tool is straightened to raise the waste in the deep cavities.

 According to the variant illustrated in Figure 3 the handle can be replaced by a handle (8).

 By way of nonlimiting example, the tool according to the invention will have dimensions of the order of 15 cm for the width, 17 cm for the length and 12 cm for the height.

 The tool according to the invention will have its industrial application in the rational maintenance of roads, large sets of buildings, and wherever it is necessary to maintain gutters, gutters and sanitation cavities, also in private homes.

Claims (3)

 1) Manual tool for scouring and picking up bulky materials from gutters, gutters and other cavities in sewerage networks, characterized in that it consists of two complementary elements: a rigid basket (2), with a large openwork, open at the shaped like a squeegee (1) and provided at the rear with a sleeve (3) intended to receive sleeves; the second element is a removable sheath (4) whose shapes conform to the interior of the rigid basket (2) and can adapt to it quickly, maintained by means of the front fold (5) housing the squeegee (1) , this sheath has perforated parts (6) sufficient to let the water pass while retaining fine materials such as sand, gravel and sludge; the first element (2) retaining, during a first pass, alone, only coarse debris.  2) Tool according to claim 1 characterized in that the front part of the rigid basket (7) is straightened to raise the waste in the deep cavities; to adapt to it, the front of the sheath is also straightened.  3) Tool according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that the sleeve (3) is replaced by the handle (8).
