Abstract

Fitting system for the floats of a board such as a surfboard or sailboard comprising a plurality of parts that can be detached from each other. The invention relates to a system for fitting together two modules forming a "kit" for a float for a sailboard or surfboard. The system consists of two modules 1' and 2' which slide one into the other. Once fitted together they are locked in place by three studs. The two modules are locked by means of at least three catches: 1, 2, 3. The rounded shape of the system means that breakages do not start developing. The fitting system according to the invention is designed to allow its floats to be easily stored in a small space and to allow the board to be adjusted to suit the selected programme.

Description

 The present invention relates to a board float such as a surf board or a sail board comprising several parts which can be separated from one another.

 I1 is recognized by French patent No. 2,572,703, the national registration number of which is 8417157, which presents a multi-purpose windsurf board conferred by various extensions of its rear. The invention relates to the transformation of a basic "Fun board" for example into any other type of windsurf, thus giving it multiple use.

The basic windsurf board can receive a rear part, by interlocking, this interlocking being reinforced by male or female inserts. The rear part is immobilized, upstream, by a stop belonging to the base float; the junction being perfect by a point in elastic material.

The assembly is made inseparable during use by locks.

The windsurfing board according to the invention is intended to overcome the vagaries of meteorology (wind, waves), while having the advantage of being compact and less expensive than several different windsurfing boards.

 This invention nevertheless has shortcomings: the interchangeable rear part thus presented reveals punctures on the upper surface of the board at the feet of the user, which have the effect of modifying the structure of the board at the feet thus preventing an ideal nesting. Distortions can then occur during use.

In addition, if we add a rear part to an already balanced board (as if we were putting an extension), this will modify the profile of the float, causing the imbalance of the curve and, consequently, of the float by changing its curve (scoop).

The present invention, which is an improvement on the application for French patent No. 9011394 of September 14, 1990, has the following advantages, however:
It is characterized as shown by the attached figures of two corresponding elements 1 and 2 in Figure 1, 1 ', 2, 2' and 4 respectively the front and the rear. These two modules fit tightly into each other by sliding a male part (present in module 2) in the female part (module l), so that the two parts cannot be used. one without the other.

 The present invention also has a mortise in the male part which will come to butter during sliding against a stud at the bottom of the female Z-shaped part. This stud at 8 in FIG. 3 allows the system to be centered.

The present invention further presents in the branches of the female part two nipples (7 and 9) placed laterally
(figure 3). These nipples will receive the corresponding mortise in AA 'in Figure 1. This is to avoid kinking caused by torsional forces.

The present invention further presents in Figure 2 and 2 'two reverse nesting systems. In Figure 2, the
(male) part 2 represents the rear while in figure 2 ', the
(male) part SY represents the front. So we have the possibility to choose in which part will be embedded the mortise.

 The present invention furthermore presents a secondary tenon-mortise system placed on the surface in contact between part 1 and part 2. This tenon-mortise system is present on at least the major part of the contact surface. Thanks to this system, the overall rigidity of the board is ensured. In addition, this arrangement will prevent the punching of the feet of the user from altering the consistency of the structure: the sliding will be done in the thickness of the board thanks to the tenons and not parallel to the surface of the board.

Figures 1 and 3 show in the male part (part 2) a tenon which will closely fit on its mortise (part 1).

 The present invention further presents a second possibility of embedding: a mortise in the module 2 will slide tightly against a tenon in the module 1 (FIGS. 1 'and 3').

 The present invention further presents a blocking and locking system by means of at least three independent fastening systems inserted into cavities (FIGS. 3 and 3 ′) to prevent the user from being injured. The locking system can be carried out thanks to a rigid rod, a cable or a strap stretched by lever.
