Abstract

This torch, intended to be displaced above a metallurgical product (6), for example in a continuous casting installation, includes an end (7) which is bent with respect to the general vertical axis (XX) of the torch (4) so that, the latter being positioned vertically above a product (6) continuously passing by, this end (7) and its oxygen cutting flame (F) are inclined at a specific angle (A) with respect to the vertical, are located in the cutting plane of the product, and are oriented rearwards with respect to the direction of passage of the torch. This arrangement has the advantage of considerably reducing and even eliminating the burr formed hitherto along the upper edge of the slabs after cutting. By contrast, the inner burr is increased but it can easily be removed.

Lorsque ce produit est une brame d'acier, ces bavures sont gênantes lors du laminage à chaud de la brame.
