Abstract

The invention relates to an object used as bait for fishing. This bait emits light when it is immersed in the water at a depth which is sufficient to generate, by pressure, the starting of the chimiluminescent mixture which it contains. It consists of a flexible outer casing made of two parts (1) and (2) assembled together in a sealed way. This envelope contains a liquid and a glass phial (3). The phial contains another liquid. BACK. - TECHNOLOGICAL PLAN
At present, chemiluminescence processes are very well known and used in many fields: security for military use, space, party supplies, fishing, etc.

The most effective chemiluminescence principle in all respects, that is to say: intensity, durability, ease of storage, feasibility, is therefore, obviously, the most used.

It is the combined reaction of three main chemical components: light-producing oxalate + phthalate (diluent),

Obviously, the light being emitted by a liquid, it had to be stored in a container and, moreover, given the limited duration in time of this luminescent reaction, the main components were separated inside this same container so that it can be contacted at the appropriate time.

This is the subject of American patent N 3,576,987, which is also a "American Cyanamid" patent which gave rise to the stick of the name "CYALUME", registered trademark N 925 341, in plastic material, containing a glass bulb which can be broken by manual curvature of the external flexible envelope.

The main reagents being thereby mixed, the chemiluminescence reaction could thus start.

The birth of the "CYALUME" therefore generated a multitude of diverse uses, including one, precisely, which interests us and which is that for fishing.

Indeed, light has long been used in this area (example: lamparo fishing) at night, to allow larger catches.

 It is self-evident, and the fishermen confirm that the effectiveness of light no longer needs to be demonstrated.

Until then, to produce sufficient light, only electricity was known, obviously posing significant problems for the implementation due to heavy equipment and, also, problems for safety.

The natural path of the "CYALUME" for fishing in water using light was therefore clearly traced.

 Many patents using this "CYALUME" have emerged.

We can, moreover, cite a few, for example the American patent N 3,863,380, the American patents Ne 2,231,314 and 2,232,268.

Some countries are big consumers of "CYALUME" or of similar objects for swordfish fishing or even individual fishing which is practiced a lot in Japan.

However, some problems remain related to the use of this product,
To trigger the chemiluminescent reaction of "CYALUME" or its derivatives, manual action is necessary, which has the effect of limiting the field of use of this product.

When fishing is practiced individually or on small boats, the quantity of lureschimiluminescent to activate is low and, therefore, does not pose major problems for its users.

Indeed, for the individual fisherman, the time necessary to activate his lures is negligible; similarly, on small boats not requiring the simultaneous use of a large number of them.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
In the industrial fishing sector, products of the "CYALUME" type, registered trademark N 925 341 are almost never used.

The tests carried out gave the following results
We used a front panel 1.5 mm thick and 63 mm in diameter, a glass bulb with a wall thickness of 0.05 mm and filled with the second liquid -t7) at two-thirds of the total capacity of the envelope.

The result obtained was as follows from 0.5 kg / cm2 of pressure, the front face (1) deforms, the bulb breaks and the chemiluminescent reaction starts.

This pressure corresponds to a depth of 5 m. of water.

This lure is however sufficiently resistant to shocks so as not to activate accidentally.

By varying the surface of the lure, the thickness of the materials and the filling volume, we obviously obtain different results, allowing, if necessary, to trigger the chemiluminescent reaction in 50 cm of water, for example.

For this purpose, no limitation can be given as to the forms and materials used.

Indeed, by decreasing the quantity of the second liquid (7) or by decreasing the thickness of the front face (1) we were able to easily break the bulb (3) from a pressure of 01 kg / cm -2, that is, at a depth of 1 meter.

This result was obtained - with a front face (1) of thickness 0.4 mm and a bulb (3) having a wall of thickness 0.05 mm - and a filling with half of capacity with the second liquiee (7 1.

We also carried out tests aiming to start the chemiluminence reaction at higher pressures, of the order of 100 kg / cm2, ie at a water depth of 1000 meters.

However, if the use of such a lure must be located at shallow depths, the circular or approaching shape remains the most suitable.

It is now easy to assess the effective value of this lure for the various industrial fishing systems mentioned above. Indeed, there is no disadvantage in setting up this lure at the time of baiting, or even, several days before, - since it will only activate after being subjected to a certain water pressure.

The possibilities of this lure are important because, by varying the parameters of its design mentioned above, bn can obtain a selection of different lures, activating at different depths and, by doing so, make a selection at level of the species that one wishes to capture using this process.
