Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus which is divided up into three elements and which enables small carnivorous animals (approx. the size of a large cat) to be trapped and caught, whilst eliminating the risk of the person being scratched or bitten, which is often dangerous, but without thereby risking injury to the animals themselves. The dimensions of these elements making up the apparatus are in the form of small corridors of different lengths but standardised as regards their cross-sections (volumetric dimensions) so that they can be easily fitted together. The third element, which is a double-boxed hutch (housing) and is reserved for the temporary accommodation and treatment of the animal, is made up of a small compartment with an intermediate passage, and a large compartment which contains the litter, bedding and food. It is in this element that the transport container (element 2), which is used to take out the animal and put it back in as many times as is necessary, easily fits. A base is provided as an accessory to this hutch, in order to raise it slightly off the ground and thus facilitate the cleaning and upkeep thereof. A second hutch can be placed on top of this hutch.

Claims

1) Capture and care apparatus for small camassier animals, characterized in that it is constituted by 3 elements of volumetric dimensions standardized for a perfect adaptation between them, namely an element (1) of capture, an element (2 ) containment receptacle fitting onto the capture element (1) and an element (3) for housing and care, receiving the element (2) as an adaptation.

2) Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the capture element (1) is an automatic hatch provided at one end with a bait and at the other with a quick-closing door with slide (4), the ends being connected by a linkage (5) controlling the closing of the door (4) behind the animal. For further treatment, or to release the animal, pass it from the right part to the left part (airlock side), taking care that the door (17) is in the open position, handle (18) pushed towards the bottom. After the animal has passed, close the door (17) by pulling the handle (18) and put the pin (24) in place.

Hang the element (2) on the left door (22) using the support (23) of the housing (3), the doors (8) and (15) are facing each other. Open the doors (8) and (15). Pull on the handles (20) of the double bottom (19) the animal pushed to the rear by this double bottom will again enter the receptacle (2). Close the door (8) of it.
