Abstract

The device hydrates the plant as it dries out. It can be used to diffuse fertiliser. It is adaptable to all models of pots made from porous material, even artistic pots, without detriment to the aesthetic appearance. It consists of a leaktight pot saucer (1), having a water reserve in the bottom (2), a sponge (3) enabling the water to rise through capillary effect into the vase (4), it being possible for the sponge also to be used to diffuse fertiliser. The device according to the invention is intended particularly for private individuals for growing indoor or garden plants.

Ce dispositif peut aussi servir de diffuseur d'engrais. This device can also serve as a fertilizer spreader.

Le dessous de pot traditionnel en terre cuite recueille I'excé- dent d'eau d'arrosage tout autour de la base du pot de fleurs. Ce genre de dessous de pot a plusieurs inconvénients :

Le dispositif selon l'invention permet de remédier à ces incon vénients. Il comporte en effet, selon une première caractéristique un dessous de pot étanche. Selon une deuxième caractéristique, la réserve d'eau est principalement située sous le vase. De ce fait le dispositif apparait comme un socle qui améliore I'esthétique du vase.L'excédent d'eau d'arrosage stocké dans la réserve, remonte dans le pot de fleurs par capillarité, grace à une éponge ou d'une façon générale grâce à un bloc en matière spongieuse et souple, de manière à bien s'appliquer contre le fond du pot de fleurs, et alimenteainsi la plante lorsqu'elle s'assèche.- the relatively high rim hides the foot of the vase, which is very unsightly when it is a pottery with artistic forms
