Abstract

The invention relates to a device with which it is possible to carry out mouth to mouth resuscitation without direct contact of the two mouths and without any risk of mutual transfer of germs during this exercise. It consists of a body made up of two parts (1-4). The part (1) represents a tube whose end (1a) permits insufflation of air and whose wider end (1b), serving as a sleeve (2), will allow the device to be fitted on the second part (4). The sleeve (2) has, on its inner perimeter, a limit stop (3) which will be used to block the disc (7) when the part (1) is fitted on the part (4). The second part (4) represents a tube having at the end (4a) a limit stop (6) over its entire inner perimeter, on which an aseptic, antiseptic, disinfectant disc or filter (7) will be placed. This filter will render the insufflated air aseptic and will avoid the risk of any possible transfer of germs. The end (4b) which permits the escape of the insufflated air is passed into the mouth of the patient. Above the end (4b) a "collar" (5) is positioned on the mouth of the patient, protecting the latter and the "insufflator". A disc (8) having the same shape can be fixed on this "collar" (5). This disc (8) forming part of the "collar" (5) provides a supplementary double protection between the "insufflator" and the patient. The device according to the invention is intended in particular for carrying out mouth to mouth resuscitation without direct contact between the two mouths, of the patient and the "insufflator", and without any risk of possible mutual transfer of germs both via the insufflated air and as a result of the proximity of the two mouths.
