Abstract

The invention relates to a novel application of propylene glycol or 1,2-propanediol used in proportions of between 1 part per thousand and 99 per cent by weight, alone or in solution with common solvents, as a non-foaming water-soluble base for the manufacture of scented, aromatic or cosmetic compositions. The applications are the scenting of spa waters, whirlpool baths, bath-tubs with or without whirlpools, swimming pools and, in general, all volumes of water which are of interest in relation to scenting or cosmetics.

The present invention relates to a new application of propyiene glycol or propanediol 1-2 alone or in solution with usual solvents as a base to allow total solubilization in water without foaming of natural, artificial essences, aromas, perfumes.

Les produits parfumants ou aromatisants sont des composants huileux insolubles directement dans l'eau.Pour les solubiliser,on utilise courament des tensio-actifs, des solubilisants,des emulsifiants qui au contact de l'eau provoquent une activite moussante-bains moussants, gels douches,shampooings.
La base hydrosoluble non moussante permet de remedier à cet inconvenient en milieu agité ou non.Fragrance or flavoring products are oily components which are insoluble directly in water.
