Abstract

Device having two methods intended to prevent the wear, twisting and premature breakage of a percussion cymbal. The invention relates to a device which allows a cymbal, when it is struck, to have a rod which accompanies it in its tilting and returns it to its initial position in a very short time, in contrast to a traditional fixed and rigid rod. The first method of the device according to the invention is characterised by the addition of a balancer with three branches (7) (Fig. 1 & 2) (plate 1/2) to a cymbal rod (10) held by three return springs inside a hemisphere (1). This balancer rests on another rod (4) adjustable in height for tensioning the springs. The second method of the device according to the invention is characterised by the addition of a steel coil spring between a conventional cymbal rod (2) (plate 2/2 Figure 1) and a traditional cymbal support (1). The device according to the invention is in particular intended to accommodate percussion cymbals.
