Abstract

Device for hoisting a storm jib on a Genoa jib wound on its winder. The invention relates to a safety device making it possible to hoist a storm jib when use of the Genoa jib is no longer possible (insufficient surface density). This device consists of rings 2, sliding on the wound Genoa jib, joined together by an end 3 of determined length, such that each ring is separated by a distance equal to that of two eyelets of the storm jib 1. The device according to the invention is in particular intended for use by sailing craft fitted with a Genoa jib winding, of the storm jib, which is made obligatory by the legislation in force, in a manner which is reliable and as inexpensive as possible.
