Abstract

The invention relates to the monitoring of the correct operation of a burner. The oxygen content of the combustion gases from the burner is detected, and this detection is used to produce a signal representing said content, and this signal is used to control the setting-up or interruption of electrical contacts in order to signal an excess of air or to halt the operation of the burner in the event of a lack of air. The invention also relates to a monitoring apparatus which includes a measuring cell 1, relays 2, 4 forming part of an alarm-producing device 3 and of a device 5 for controlling the operation of the burner, respectively. The invention applies particularly to forced (blown) air burners, in particular of a condensing generator or boiler.
