Abstract

Package for crash helmets, especially for helmets of motor cyclists. The package consists of two half-shells (2, 3), the lower half-shell having an opening (8) for the head to pass into the helmet.

PACKAGING FOR PROTECTIVE HELMETS

  The present invention relates to a protective helmet package and in particular for helmets of the type of

  those used by motorcyclists.

  We know that such objects are bulky. They are usually presented for sale indoors

  cardboard packaging of generally parallelepiped shape.

  But, like any personal object a prospective buyer must

  be able to try the helmet on placed before buying it.

  In self-service stores, the prospective customer opens the packaging, tries the helmet and, in general, it does not put it back inside the carton; the helmets fall quite often to the ground which scratches them degrades them and

makes them unfit for sale.

  In addition, in some cases, the motorcyclist enters the store with a used helmet and comes out with a new one, the

  used helmet remaining in the box of the new helmet.

  This "shrinkage unknown" causes considerable damage to the 2C.magasin, which is ultimately supported by

honest buyers.

  The object of the present invention is to overcome these drawbacks and aims at a packaging allowing

  fitting the helmet without opening said conditioning.

  According to the present invention, the protective helmet package is characterized in that it comprises a transparent envelope constituted by two half-shells united by welding, the lower half-shell having an opening corresponding to the opening of passage of the head to

helmet inside.

  According to another characteristic of the invention, the joint plane of the two half-shells have at its periphery a bead whose edge is welded, for example, by high frequency. Preferably, the two half-cups are made of a transparent plastic material making it possible to see

  immediately the color and type of the helmet.

  According to another characteristic of the invention, the joint plane of the two half-shells, comprises an opening for directly hanging the packaging on the

stems of a linear.

  Thus, thanks to the invention the helmet is constantly protected from scratches or other damage by plastic packaging. However, the prospective customer may put his head inside the opening provided in the lower half-shell and try the helmet without the

degrade.

In Figure 1, the helmet package is generally designated by the reference 1. It consists of two half-shell, respectively an upper half-shell 2 or cap to surround the part

  upper helmet and a lower half-shell 3.

  --3- The two half-shells are united after introduction of the

helmet by a weld seam 5.

  The shape of the packaging and in particular that of the cap 2 depends of course on the shape of the helmet and can take either the form shown in solid lines, or the form 2a shown in dashed lines. The two half-shells have a flat portion 11 bordered by a bead resulting from the assembly of an upper half-bead 4 and a lower half-bead 6. Inside this bead can be introduced, for the sake of decoration, a rope

color for example.

  As it appears in FIGS. 2 and 3, the joint plane of the two half-shells is extended at the front of the helmet by

  a beach or zone 11 which is advantageously pierced with a hole 7.

  The hole 7 makes it possible to hang the packaging containing a helmet in large surface liners and thus, these products appear in their shapes and colors to the prospective buyer. In order to facilitate the insertion of the visor, a recess 10 is advantageously provided in the

cap 2.

  Moreover, it is known for the same type of helmet the outer shell which may be metal or synthetic material reinforced with fibers of the type "KEVLAR" remains of the same volume, only the inner lining of the helmet defining the size. So just create a mold for the cap 2, and a mold for the lower half-shell 3 for each

type of helmet.

  According to the invention, and as shown in FIG. 3, the lower half-cup 3 is open at 8 to allow the head to pass inside the helmet, the

  helmet remains at this time covered by the plastic shell.

  The lower half-shell 3 preferably has upside-down edges so as not to injure the customer, and preferably the front edge 9 has padding intended for

avoid scratching the nose.

  Of course, an anti-theft alarm tag can be integrated in the packaging to trigger an alert in case of fraudulent product exit. The helmets included in such packaging always remain clean and undegraded and the end buyer always finds, by opening the

conditioning, a new helmet.

  It goes without saying that many variants can be introduced, in particular by substitution of technically equivalent means without departing from the scope of the invention.

Packaging for a protective helmet characterized in that it comprises a transparent envelope constituted by two half-shell (2, 3) joined by welding (5), the lower half-shell (3) having a corresponding opening (8) at the opening of passage of the head A inside the helmet.   2. Packaging according to claim 1 characterized in that the joint plane of the two half-shells example at its periphery a bead (4, 6)   3. Packaging according to one of claims 1 or 2   characterized in that the two half-shells are   made of transparent plastic material.   4. Conducting according to any one of the claims   characterized in that the two half-shells extend in front of the helmet by a beach (11), the   beach (11) being pierced with a hole (7) hooking.   5. Packaging according to any one of the claims   characterized in that the two half-shells (2, 3) are joined by a line of high frequency welding (5).
